Confusion of choosing among options

14 posts in this topic

How to choose among various options ?
Ex, if I am into cooking , should I open my youtube channel to share recipes or a blog or get a job at a hotel or start my  restaurant ?

This confusion of choosing among comes almost everyday from trivial things to big life choices.

@asha176

Learn from other people. Study, read books, watch YT videos, etc. There's endless advice out there.

But ultimately, the real trick is that you have to learn to connect to your own intuition.

What feels best to you?

This is not an easy question because we have all sorts of conditioning that can confuse us. So learn to listen to your own Voice.

If you have various options in the same field so you need to see the vision if you go with that particular option. You should also see that after 5 years after where you see yourself if you go with each field.

Besides knowing that you love cooking, you also need to know what your top values, signature strengths, and ideal medium are. That's what will clear up the confusion about Youtube vs blog vs restaurant.

We can't give you a quick answer to that. It takes hours of video in the course to explain it, and then you have to sit down and do actual exercises to derive the answer for yourself.

We don't know you. How are WE supposed to know if you'd be happier working in a restaurant or making a Youtube channel if you can't figure it out yourself?

Stop looking for shortcuts. You're talking about something that will be the difference between whether you wake up loving your life every day for the rest of your life, or work a job that you hate for the next 40 years. Spend the couple hundred dollars and a few days worth of your time and do the course.

I'll give you a little hint... think of the first time that you realized you loved cooking. What were you doing, where were you, and what about it made you fall in love with it? There are lots of different reasons to have a love of cooking. Was it the idea of contributing to your family? To see the look of enjoyment on people's faces as they ate your food? Mastering the technical nature of a difficult recipe? The first time someone paid you to cook? There are probably dozens of reasons depending on which chef you ask, and it'll determine what path they take.

You need to make distinction between what you want to do as a passion/hobby and what to do for a living. Both are different and same sometimes. What is it in your case?

Is cooking your passion and you think it won't make you enough money? Or you believe cooking would be your professional career? If yes, then you have to take the risk and do whatever it takes.

If the answer is No, then you need to settle first in terms of constant income source then you can start a hobby of your choice without expecting any monetory value from it.

In the event that you have different alternatives in a similar field so you need to see the vision on the off chance that you go with that specific choice. You ought to likewise see that following 5 years after where you see yourself in the event that you go with each field.

I don't agree with this idea of contemplating something until the answer magically comes to you.

Just do it. Choose one randomly if you can't choose for yourself.

Your other talents won't disappear if you choose to work on one. So work on one, and then you will be able to use the others later.

It's that simple.

The confusion is that there is a you which is choosing. Crazy, but letting it go from mind, and feeling great (not-confusion) it becomes more clear what you want, because want does not arise of falsity (choice).

This is not an easy question because we have all sorts of conditioning that can confuse us. So learn to listen to your own Voice.

But what if during certain times , during some decisions-making , there is no intuitive guidance , no clear "own voice"?
