Severe Reaction to TEA

I had a cup of tea today ... what a terrible idea. 

I have been sweating in the face very hard for about 2 hours. 

My skin is now red and pale. 

Feel light headed and it's hard to concentrate. Also feel slightly shaky.

The most noticeable symptom by far is the face sweating 

I only had about 1/3rd of the tea, not even a large amount. 

 

P.s : this does not occur with herbal tea, or green tea. I often feel better overall after any of these. I just drank a chia tea now which has somewhat dampened the negative symptoms from the tea. 

Fuck Tea. Never again.

What about coffee? If you drink it what happens? 

Either you're super sensitive to caffeine or something weird is going on.

@Michal__ I think I am sensitive to caffiene .... 

BUT ... I popped a 50mg caffeine pill today & I did not experience the side effects I got from tea. 

When I drink coffee similar reaction I think, it's actually worse with tea though 

I quit daily coffee last month anyway.

Maybe it's just that you already have a lot of energy naturally.

Then it would make sense to drink herbal teas for their health benefits, since they have no caffeine. Or green tea, which has caffeine but the l-theanine in it removes the negative effects of it.

Maybe buy l-theanine and put 50 mg to your black tea. Or if you ever want to drink coffee again use 200 mg.

Yea fvck tea!

If youre experiencing these symptoms try to get some fresh air & breath, drink some water, or some black charcoal supplement if you have that around.

@Striving for more  If you're fine on green tea, it's not the tea. Chai tea is actually a mix of a huge number of semi-random spices, so check the ingredient list: any of those things you might be allergic to.

Just drink original british or Indian tea.

But dont drink spiced tea, herb tea or black tea. 

Just original tea. Check pack to see that it only contains original tea and no other ingredients. 

Also you can try decaffeinated tea. But again no other ingredients or flavors.. Only simple tea leaves. 

Just add a half a spoon and no more if you are caffeine sensitive.

I looked up pg tips and this is what I found. 

It is stronger than most Indian teas. Which is bad. Indian tea is milder.

So I'll recommend a bunch of Indian teas for you. A lot of Indian teas are masala chai or spice tea and don't go for that because they heighten the effect of caffeine. 

Go to your local store and get original Indian tea, no masala or spices or herbs. 

Or I found some original Indian teas on the UK website.
