Can scoliosis affect kundalini awakening and practicing kriya?

I'm not sure but throughout the healing journey one could really correct the most horrible posture problems.

Trauma is a multidimension/multilayered manifestion. On an emotional, energetic and physical level. And of course mental. Trauma results mostly in these problematic postures. Creating body awareness is absolutely helpful. And very necessary to deal with either kundalini symptoms or posture problems.

@Slifon A person with scoliosis may need to adjust some movements, yet so do old people. I need to adjust some movements due to an aging spine, yet I still experience the energy. As well, breath, mindfulness and energetics are fundamental to kundalini kriyas.

I haven’t experienced what yogis describe as kundalini awakening, so I can’t comment on that part. I’m also not a doctor or physical therapist. I’d research a bit about health and safety.

You may want to also look into ancient kriya yoga. There are very few asanas, it’s nearly all meditative breathing. I’ve also found breathwork compliments kundalini yoga well.

@Slifon I had Kundalini awakening and some mild back issues. I remember my face becoming very hot when the energy pushed threw the tense parts of my spine. So maybe it could affect the uncomfortable sensations of K rising.

@Endangered-EGO You had the back issue before or after the awakening? Could you describe the experience?

@artcastle It started long time before.

Kundalini feels like a snake of pire orgasm slowly crawling up the spine. When it moved through tense spots, I felt a burning sensation in my body. As if it pushed through the spine with force.
