Break up with my gf after 3 years

9 posts in this topic

After 3 years we are just finished.

But i truly feel I'm in love with here and i can't let her go, i ask her many times to stay and even get married... One of her main reasons for saying No is her family. They don't and won't accept me for no reason!!!

What i have to do? Should I give up or not?

She should be willing to stay without any asking.

She stays because she's chosen it, not because you've asked for it.

Is she ready or not. Or is this just going in a pointless direction?

If she cares more about her parents then why do you care?

Love should be between 2 people and not between 2 parents.

I had an ex who cared too much about what his parents thought. So I dumped him for good.

Love is no love if the other person doesn't really  want you. Plus 3 years? Too much time to wait on a relationship.

6 months wait max for any relationship to turn good or give up.

It sounds like she's not going to change her mind.

For now, I would just focus on processing your emotions. A lot is going to come up. Cry, scream, punch a pillow, do whatever you feel you need to do.

Then when you're ready, start to rebuild.

Well said. Listen to this. Letting go is hard. But time is your friend when trying to move on.

@Mehditajgardoon I know it hates. But if she is making her decisions based on her family then she is not ready. Believe me even if she stayed and you got married. Her family will be making decisions for her. The best is to let her go. With time you will be healed.
