Currently I seem to be in a phase, in which I am more aware of my emotional state than usual, which I find very pleasant. Now, I have two questions:

1. Have you any advice on how to get even more in touch with my emotions and how to properly deal with them?

2. What ways of emotional "cleansing/detox" are there, besides from psychedelics or (shamanic) breath work?

Thanks in advance!

I've found Shinzen Young's See-Hear-Feel practice does wonders for my emotional clarity. It's a basic mindfulness practice, but very powerful for increasing your ability to feel deeply and clearly. In terms of 'dealing' with emotions, they need space to flow. This'll happen automatically and naturally as your clarity increases.

Self inquiry and shadow work come to my mind for emotional therapy. It opens up hidden emotions that the psyche is currently not ready to confront.

Emotions generally peek out when the mind is kept still and away from engagement.

Emotional detox.. This is to remove negative emotions or to clean out.

This is not easy. If you just apply positive emotions, that's like a bandaid job.

You need to confront and  resolve the cause of your emotions.

And humor helps a lot. Changing perspectives helps a lot.

The other thing is mindfulness.

Acceptance helps a lot.

Don't consume stimuli that constant aim at your emotions like certain media or propaganda.

Try to be the silent observer.

Keep yourself a bit reserved from emotional reacting. This way you build a fortress.

De-stress all the time. Remove the buildup.

Be more self aware and catch yourself when the unwanted emotions arise and let them be challenged. Don't give them energy. Let them pass.

Hope this helps.

I'm  focusing on more positive things and compared to yesterday my mood has been better.

Crying helped a little.

Venting helped too

But now I need to speed up the whole growth process

Sometimes you need to be free of alll attachments just to be able to see through self involvement.

Like don't be too attached to anything.

Everything at the end of the day is not always feasible.

You forget that there is an opportunity cost associated with being attached to something.

When you are perfectly neutral it's way better

Notice how when you are not attached to something, it no longer bothers you anymore.

You're unaffected unimpacted by its quality. By its changes.

But by associating yourself with it, you have now allowed it to impact you.

(I'll write the Devil's Bible, lol joking) tsk tsk.

It's the battle of the world and get it that you won't always win. Often times good people lose.

The Unattached Mindset

This mindset is golden. It frees you. It liberates you and gives you room.

Over the past few weeks I have come across so many "dangerous mindsets" that I have come to the this profound thought that it's not so much evil that causes so much harm in the world but dangerous mindsets and mentalities.

One of the most beautiful, Empowering and golden mindsets that you can have is the Unattached Mindset.

Now..

Some practical steps are needed I can't keep rambling. I also need to see how I implement my own concepts in daily life and find effective ways of putting my thoughts in action.

One way to know if you have an unattached mindset is to ask yourself (myself) this question -

"what's your guiding thought?"

"what's your preconceived notion or emotion or dissonance or bias guiding you?"

Are you already thinking something?

Have you already made up your mind how you're going to react to the other person even before hearing them out?

A very good example of this goes like this

Let's see you come across a book in a bookstore. You find the title appealing. You want to read the book. You flip through the pages. You're excited. You think that this book has some value.

Now you look at the back of the book and you see that the author is not a popular or does not have much credentials.

Your mind is suddenly thinking second thoughts. Now you don't want to buy this book. You don't see it valuable

Why?

Because you have based your judgement on a preconceived notion or mindset that you already had. Your mindset is completely colored by this notion. You're guided by such a notion or mentality. You're guided by this cognitive bias.

So right when you approach you approach with disdain, not with an open mind, but with disdain.

You approach with bias.

What you are looking for is a confirmation bias now.

Of course, you're not always going to be wrong because some stereotypes and biases do have a solid ground to them and there is a predictable pattern they follow. But have you stepped back once and thought if such a bias might not always be true.

This bias might hold you back from the openness that lies out there. A new world that you have decided to close yourself to.

Are you ready to drop this bias for a while and look at the other person through a neutral lens?

See that it's not the identity of the person or the label of the book or the status of the author that matters, but the pure thought being expressed in the book.

Often times we base our approaches in life on pre-defined notions and biases and prejudices. We carry that inner attachment to beliefs  labels and identities. We forget to see beyond these labels. We develop a rhetoric and keep looking for confirmation bias.

Now.

If we stop having this "attached mindset" a lot of things can open up to us. If we are Unattached and ready to listen.

Now, attached mindset comes in two forms.

One is where every way you perceive what the other person is saying is completely colored by your preconceived notion and does not match with what that person is trying to say at all. You're not trying to understand them, you're not putting effort into understanding their perspective, rather you're simply putting your interpretation on their meaning in a way that will perfectly align with your bias. Nothing but looking for a confirmation of your thoughts

The second form of an attached mindset is when you are completely attached to a theory or movement or Ideology or thinking. Just cannot take a break from it. You're so patriotic to it. Of course, it has good intentions, that's why you believe in it

But have you stepped back and thought that such an attachment can become very parasitic and cause you to become somewhat of a crusader. There is never an end to a crusade, remember that!!!

You need to step back and drop this attachment. Sure crusading is a bit necessary. But so is having a free mind.

When you drop this attachment, you can be free of its effects.

You can feel free to simply observe what's going on, like an Unattached person.

This does not mean that you are inactive or bystander. It only means that you need to have healthy attachment.

Continued....

This does not mean that you are inactive or bystander. It only means that you need to have healthy attachment.

Unhealthy attachment means that you are constantly in it.

Can you say to yourself "I don't care" "no fucks given"....." I don't wish to be bothered"

This is an Empowering thought. Because in that moment you have immediately banished any impact that stream of engagement can have on you.

It's like you were in a crowded street. And people are creating a lot of noise and chaos.

And you said to yourself "who gives a shit" and return back to your room.

Basically you're returning home to peace.

You're returning to freedom from an attached mindset.

You're coming home to the The Unattached Mindset.

Leo writes so cute it's funny

By going out so much that you are so busy talking to other girls that you don't have time to think about it and no one lead matters. And also by training yourself never to invest before sex.

As soon as you think, "This lead is special" you screwed up.

Note: this is only during the early phase of dating. Once she falls in love with you, then you invest back and treat her nice.

My guy never tried to make me fall in love with him.

I simply fell in love with him.

And when I fall in love, it's hook line and sinker. That's my way.

Falling in love with a man (not any man okay  !! ) is the most beautiful experience of life.

I just want to worship the guy in my life. I love him so much.

He is the most handsome(not that looks matter) , the most wonderful, and the most amazing man I came across.

He stole my heart.

When a man steals your heart, that's the best gift he can give you.

Truly

Watch your cartoon.

Look into stuff that matters close home.

Keep the rest outside the fence.
