Leo - are you in ‘Permanent Non-dual Awareness’?

102 posts in this topic

I know you’ve said such scales of Ramaji’s n what not is not accurate, but it seems like the psychedelic states are great but does it quench that thirsting for a permanent enlightenment awareness?

like compare your baseline level of consciousness from pre-mushroom trip report video or 5MeO.

Thanks!

You don't understand. There is no such thing as temporary or permanent.

Ramaji is not Awake.

@Leo Gura haha thank you. Without enough psychedelic experience I’m obviously unable to see that.

Could you elaborate a bit more on why there’s no temporary or impermanent? All imagination?

@Leo Gura Also, I’ve had 4 RASA transmissions with little results or from my own inquiry work.

Is that enough to decide if doesn’t work?

Views on RASA/Shaktipat after your big awakening?

@Leo Gura What practices do you do nowadays? Or do you just do psychedelics?

Yes, there is definitely such a thing as awake vs non-awake. And there are many degrees and orders of magnitude of awakeness.

Like I said in my series: Understanding Duality, that's a duality.

Your mind is imagining a distinction between temporary things and permanent things.

In fact, all consciousness is Eternal and Absolute. Awakening transcends time since consciousness imagines time.

If awakening was permanent how could anyone ever awaken? -- since they would already have been awake!

God can exist in various states of self-awareness. In some states God is not self-aware at all. In other states God is mildly self-aware. And in other states God is fully self-aware. There are not just 3 or 10 of these states. There are thousands if not more.

Hard to say. I've heard from reliable people that it can be very helpful. But I haven't done it.

Maybe try a few more times and if you still don't feel any difference, then call it quits.

It could be helpful, but the people doing it are not what I could consider Awake.

You will not fully Awaken via shaktipat. But that doesn't make it bad.

Either psychedelics or just sitting in silence.

@Leo Gura Cold showers are awesome third eye work if you just run the cold water over your head until it hurts.

@Leo Gura What do you think about just sitting down and not getting up ever?

Just observing reality; total surrender?

Great stuff.

But it won't be enough to reach the highest Awakening.

Also what practice, other than psychedelics, do you consider to be the best? Second to psychedelics?

@Derek White  If you can totally surrender then it will work. The success of it will be realized in direct experience, you won't need to ask anyone you will know for yourself.

I think that's how the Budhha got enlightened. He just got sick of seeking and said fuck it i'm sitting here until i'm enlightened. And like Abraham hicks says, ask and it is given.

Probably long and intense concentration practices.

Maybe Kriya yoga.

Yea, I notice that too. Idk about Kriya yoga though.

You sit and let go but thoughts keep rising and falling. Your body and mind deteriorates. And there’s little depth to it.

That’s where concentration comes in. You let go of distraction to focus on consciousness. Actually surrendering also involves concentration, you’re letting go of the urge to get up when you are sitting down and letting go.

Concentration and meditation converge at one point.

Leo how would you describe the world God with a big quote. The consciousness of God is the self consciouss consciousness but you mentioned some states which the consiousness lacks self awareness. Can you analyze it a little bit more?I also want to answer you on the (If awakening was permanent how could anyone ever awaken? -- since they would already have been awake!)There is nothing permanent the only permanent are the invisible laws and the nature of consciousness, every non awakened consciousness is gettind driven to awaken and i believe the awakened ones return on the darkness after some unimaginable numbers of time. This represents the symbol of ouroboros serpent, the infinite cyrcle of everything.

God is Infinite Consciousness -- that which is unlimited, one, and self-created. That's as accurate as it gets.

Consciousness has infinite capacity for self-understanding. It can understand everything about itself (Total Awakeness) or it can be as dumb as a rock. And everything in between.

Because Awakening is Absolute. The Absolute tends to be sure of itself.

Why would God be unsure of itself? Unsureness suggests a lack of consciousness.

But the converse is a trap: just because you're sure of yourself doesn't mean you are conscious.

I doubt that anyone is fully Awake.

Lots of teachers are partially awake and their students are incapable of telling the difference.
