He/she was saying that direct experience is nothing without thought. That isn't  quite right.

He might understand thingness as the being of thoughtness itself.

He might see: All things are thoughts, because things themselves are thoughts. That which is seen, that which is heard, that which is felt, that is no thing. It is no-thing. It is nothing. It is. It is everything but what we say it is.

 

This is the madness of reality. Just look at it, it's absurd. It's literally impossible (outside the realm of thoughtness/thingness). Making sense of madness can only truly be done by the mad.
