Yellow/Green Musician, where on earth do i move?

11 posts in this topic

From the UK, which seems like the epitome of orange. it’s clear that here, my way of thinking is unwanted and although i’m from here, feel lonely amongst my family and friends as no one here has the same interests as i do.

Id like too move somewhere in the world  with a centre of gravity that is yellow/green (but mainly yellow) to elevate myself preferably with a great  music scene that can be a catalyst for my purpose as a musician/performer/songwriter ... anyone have any suggestions?

Even if you just whack one city down u know of

thanks!

@Jakethehoff

I'm not sure, but somewhere like Denmark and Sweden are probably solid Green.

And as for Yellow, I think it's quite rare to find individuals who are at such high levels of development, let alone communities.

For what I know, Yellow thinks systematically, which means if you are at Yellow, then you will have to change others.

I mean what's the point of Yellow society? If it became a society, then that would make it Turquoise.

@Jakethehoff Northern European countries in general (Sweden, Finland, Norwegia, etc.). The Netherlands as well (preferably Amsterdam). As for Yellow countries, there aren't any yet. You can find Yellow segments within it, but I don't think we will see a yellow country as a whole any time soon.

Your best bet until then I think are the ones stated above. You may have to make a sacrifice though if you don't like cold weather for example.

@Truth Addict

Im pretty certain if we have orange  (individualist) societies there can be yellow societies but as @DanTheLurker says there’ll probably won’t be any whole countries for a while as most countries haven’t even touched on orange never mind green ideals.

I will travel to the countries mentioned  over the next few months to make my decision and check out where has appropriate music opportunities.

Any cities you’re aware of that look anything like yellow?

i’m from england man the bad weather is something i’m immune too ?

@Jakethehoff As I stated earlier, pure Yellow community is Turquoise.

Yellow individuals who think systematically are automatically Turquoise socialists.

So, the point is, you're looking too far ahead, skipping Green actually.

Yes, Orange society is available, not because of Orange, but rather because of Blue and Green.

Orange alone can never work, and Yellow alone can never work, because Yellow people are more in their heads than in the actual life.

Another important point, for someone to reach Yellow, they have to have done A LOT of studying and self-development work over a long period of time, which means they're probably in their forties at best right now (exceptions allowed), I don't know if they'll become younger in the future, but that'll leave you with older people than you are.

I don't know man, my advice is that you don't need to think a lot about this issue, Green is more than enough at the moment, aim for Green and let the rest work itself out.

Good luck out there!

@Jakethehoff Amsterdam is moving towards yellow. Their open-minded ideals in their government, laws, and countrymen is very unique. It's a space for people to express themselves how they damn-well please, and people there love it. If you're looking for a place where people are interested in listening to a diverse array of music, this may be the place, especially in the next 30 years.

@Jakethehoff In the Audiobook from Don Beck about Spiral Dynamics from 1997.

He mentions Berlin and Paris, as growing centers for yellow.

Plenty of orange, blue and even red to go around in Amsterdam. Not to say there isn't green and yellow.

Amsterdam is going toward green and yellow but i think generally the world is orange and below with green poking through, so we're a bit off of yellow society. All you can do is embrace the work that has to be done helping the progression, so wherever you go just make sure its conducive to whatever youre trying to bring into the world, music in this case

Leo had a post before of some of the green cities in US. He's also said that scandanvian countries are high green entering yellow. Austin is Green. I'm going to move there soon

@d0ornokey I also thought about moving to Austin for that reason. I may end up moving to Portland though. Still need to do a little more research. But I def want to move somewhere that has a high concentration of green. I live in San Diego, and even though Leo says SoCal is green, San Diego still seems very orange to me. Lots of superficial assholes and a complete absence of quality art. San Francisco also seems really cool, but, it is so damn expensive there.
