When in existence did the Monday to Friday schedule start?

The seven-day week was established by God Himself, at the beginning! He worked Monday to Saturday. Even though He completed all the work of creation in 6 days, He added another day and took rest on the 7th day.

India is not a Christian country but we work six days a week and we enjoy a relaxing Sunday, just like Christian God!

Before monotheism, the planets were worshipped by ancient cultures. Before telescope, the last planet which could be observed by humans was Saturn.

So the planets in order: Mercury -Venus - (Earth) - Mars - Jupiter - Saturn

And plus: the moon and the sun.

They were the rulers of what happens on earth; they were the 'gods' in that sense.

So they were all given one specific day each.

Sunday - Sun

Monday - Moon

Tuesday - Mars

Wednesday - Mercury

Thursday - Jupiter

Friday - Venus

Saturday - Saturn

In French or Italian it is much more clear to see their connection.

I don't know which civilization has started this, but generally such concepts always first seen in Sumerian Culture.

*oh! Sorry! @Shakazulu you were asking a different question! Like when the schedule of working days started, kind of thing I guess.. That, I don't know☺

@SeviFor some reason the names of those planets match the emotion of earth - Monday sure feels like the moon to many

@Sevi I'm getting this wim that astrology is factual however there is more to reality. Our minds can expand beyond imagination

Of course it does. Here I was not referring to astrology by any means; it's just an idea about how ancient civilizations form their daily basis. You might like to check Sumerian tablets, you seem interested in the historical references of existence.

There are no hours, no days, no years, no time. Drop that!

@Rilles Now raise that to the infinity power, to the infinity power, to the infinity power an infinite numver of times. Now you are starting to get what I am talking about.

Spirituality is any movement towards the Unnamable. Everything is spiritual.

The only true way out Resistance is going into it because any way out of it is staying in it.

The purest life possible is surrendering to the Absolute.
