This Is So Silly

8 posts in this topic

This whole thing (personal development) seem like basically overthinking life, what's the point, why don't just roll with it.

Just follow your instinct and go hard there's not much more to say. If you're meant for greatness, "self actualization" or whatever you'll get there anyway.

I hope the title "this is so silly" was you reflecting on the BS you just wrote. You won't "get there some day if you were means for greatness" and self actualization is necessary for any real change you wish to see in yourself and the impact you have on the world. Reducing personal development down to over-thinking life is just so narrow-minded and stupid.

@wavydude Just look around you. What do you see? Chimpery. How you gonna avoid being a chimp? It won't happen by accident. By accident is what created all the chimps in the first place.

Maybe nature gave you a brain so you could use it to stop being a chimp ;)

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

the roll with it is living life as a leaf moved by the wind. The lowest stage of consciousness. So if nature gave us a brain, instead of demonizing it like a creator of problems with self actualization we can tame the mind, isnt this great?

The point is to learn how to 'get there' without having to go hard.

Exactly, we're all just chimps in here, specificly chimps trying to avoid being a chimp, that's so ridiculous. Does a dog spend it's days trying to avoid being a dog ?
