The significance of the bible. The astral world explained.

24 posts in this topic

The astral world is the world of all of human imagination, every work of fiction comes from the astral plane. Now christianity and the bible come from the astral world, however they form a particular connection with the physical world, because we create our society in christendom in accordance with this christian astral domain of imagination.

Christians are more in tune with the astral world than atheists. That's why atheists do not understand christians.

The realm of angels, demons, heavens, hells, satan, miracles, the trinity: the father, the son, the holy spirit etc... is the astral/imaginal world.

Those things are all real, just another level of reality, even more real we could say than the physical word.

The astral world is part of the spiritual world and is a subset of it. Similar to how the physical world is part of the spiritual world, but is also distinct and a subset of it.

In the spiritual world there's no constructs or distinction, it's all pure emptiness, void, oneness, God. It's purely non-dual.

However whenever we are talking about duality, we're either refrencing to the world of physicality, what science studies. Or the astral world, the world of religion and art. However religion interacts with the physical world in a more culturally significant way because we construct the culture based on it at the ontological level of the culture.

Astral projections is when one merges with the astral world: think of an artist in a flow state or when you're dreaming every night in the physical realm.Dreams are also part of the astral world distinct from the dream of physical reality. Or when you're in sincere prayer...

Probably the best book ever written about reality.

Just don't make a religion out of it.

Yes.  The astral plane is just another imaginary plane to get lost in.

Since you referenced the bible im just throwing it out there that it contains enough truth to prevent you from barking up the wrong tree all time like you do when you start giving meaning to astral planes.

@Willy Phallicus I would disagree. Exploring the astral world is a fascinating and enriching endeavor. Just like one can explore the physical and the spiritual world.

I used to have a lot of astral projection experiences when I was a teenager (I was agnostic, leaning heavily atheist at the time)... and I also had a few as a child. I still have them once every now and again. But I don't know if that's exactly what you mean by 'astral world'.

To me, this seems more in the realm of a hypothesis and collection of metaphysical assumptions that...

  1. There is an astral world
  2. The astral world is real
  3. The astral world is more easily connected to by religious/spiritual people than atheists (in my experience, that's not true)
  4. The astral world is the source of human imagination and creativity
  5. The things that Christianity speaks of exist in the astral world
  6. There is a spiritual world that has subsets
  7. The astral world is a subset of of that spiritual world

Really, all of these hypotheses are unknown and unknowable.

I've had probably had somewhere between 50 and 100 astral projection experiences altogether.

And I've always found it most valuable to "keep the loop of uncertainty open" about the reality or non-reality of that state and the apparent reality that presents itself in that state.

In all things of this nature, I think it's important to remain a fence sitter and sit in the uncertainty like... maybe it's some alternate dimension OR maybe it's just a really realistic-seeming and consistent dream that happens to begin by getting up from my bed OR maybe something else entirely is happening.

It's the embrace of the mystery that enables the cup to stay empty and open for new perspectives and possibilities to flow in, regarding seemingly metaphysical phenomena that one can experience on the phenomenological level.

So, I would frame this more as "possibilities to ponder on"... rather than framing it as an insight, understanding, or an explanation of the nature of what's experienced during astral projection.

The reality is that we cannot know... nor can we even know that we cannot know.

Have you guys seen the new show Carrie? Highly recommend- there is an astral projector in the show too!

@Majed did you forget Judaism in your bible reference? Much of the Bible is as christians call it - the Old Testament.

I don't know what to make of this so called astral plane. I guess if you want to imagine it's validity you will.  And it will exist. But angels and devils.  Well...I know I don't have to take Communion in order to go to heaven.

You can't prove that it's not the case though. For a christian, this is blasphemy.

Because they believe Christ is God.  Try telling them otherwise.  Or you. Not sure if you are a Christian. I don't talk religion or politics at the dinner table 😀

As for your astral plane absolutely it's real.  But that's not something objectively true. Just like anything else.  You make it true.

Yeah and how would that not be true ?

Like Christ embodies the essence of God in the christian world as a worldview.

@Inliytened1 Reality is an invention of the mind. Doesn't mean my invention isn't true objectively. Just like america is an invention of the mind, doesn't mean america isn't true.

What about the Jews.  Are they just left to dust.

@Inliytened1 Jews and christians share many similarities. But still every religious tradition is unique.

@Inliytened1 Both. Since reality is infinite it contains all truths. That's what a nuanced sophisticated complex mind understands.

Yes, probably. But that's your own fault for selling Jesus out to the Romans.
