There are many negative aspects concerning porn. Suppressing porn from a moral basis will only aggravate and possibly increase the compulsivity by highlighting whatever practice or taboo falls under some kind of regulation. Many taboo practices fall into the category of 'not illegal'. Blatantly violent or malignant sexual practices which result in being illegal under the scope of what constitutes a crime in today's terms,,,,,, What am I tryng to say,,,? There are gray areas that need more definition within the judicial branch it seems but when "community standards" are brought into the argument. It becomes clear there are vast differences between worldviews.   An increasingly sophisticated and educated population will resolve these issues in time. One which is more 2nd tier center of gravity. 

As a species we are over-sexed. Blame evolution if you like. Is there anything wrong with blatantly seeking pleasure? Especially if you pay your bills and taxes and don't impose your will upon others in a way in which they don't like,,,,

 

 In the video that was shared [thank you @LordFall}, it seems many of the panel were pinned down by their own lack of individuation. Specifically concerning the area of the Freudian super-ego in which their consciences are pinned down under the regulation of their childhood conditioning and the overly acquired values of their subcultures instead of a more natural organic perception that has not been subject to ridiculous amounts of shame,,,, Yet, they did good. It's not an easy subject to debate in public.

The more conservative panel members seemed to imitate the authority that is present in moralistic adult contemporaries while the more liberal panel members spent most of their time in justification or being halfway apologetic. The panel did seem equal in terms of their ability to argue their own view.

Unfortunately, the use of shame and guilt are necessary in regulating immature and uneducated, barbaric attitudes and as far as "red energy" or sex energy goes. I'm also reminded of  Ken Wilber saying in regard to the male of our species in connection to when red energy is prevalent.- "Fuck it and kill it run close together".

Yes, shame and guilt are stage blue values brought about to tame stage red’s wildness. Some degree of shame and guilt is healthy in that regard, but the higher stages find better ways to tame that energy like education and opportunity.

What happens with anti-porn and no-fap is an extreme amount of shame built up around something fairly natural and harmless in moderation. This is not healthy.

I agree with LordFall that if you’ve got drive, goals and at least some success in your life, porn and jerking off is pretty inconsequential. If cumming to a porn star’s asshole is frequently the highlight of your day then yea, probably a bit of shame and guilt may help you move towards better values.
