I actually apply this sort of thinking to my creative art pursuits now I think on it.

I want to render the impression of something with the absolute BARE minimum amount of line, shade, colour to form the appearance of something. Sometimes when you look closely at my oil paintings they don't make sense visually and look totally incomplete - only to step back for the illusion to take hold. I'll work out every shortcut and trick to fool the eye and play of how the human visual system works to create and effect. One thing that used to catch me off guard about MBTI was that I was artistic and it didn't "fit" the INTJ type description - this was prior to really trying to understand the cognitive functions.

IE below - the rendering of the pearl close up is literally completely insubstantial. Just a blob of titanium white and a vague outline that isn't even filled in (bare minimum) then you pull back and it is part of Vermeer's expert rendering and skill:

It's the most fascinating distinction to me because I highly admire Ti, but I'm also confused by it. 

I also find the INFJ very interesting and don't have a lot of data on them. They share the same dominant function as me but with Fe modulating. Emerald is an example. I think because INFJ has Ti 3rd in the stack, if they develop Ti, they can be an intellectual powerhouse. I really admire Ti but just can't really operate that way myself, but I wish I could.

This makes me think of how I love infinite canvases, which is all about both zooming in and zooming out. I've gone deep on why I love infinite canvases and it's basically because that's the modality Ni stores things. Detail available on demand but not foregrounded.

Te is very analytical and I notice it right away.  Fe is almost put off by that.  That is one way I can tell the difference.  I wouldn't describe Fe as caring about the feelings of the tribe in the INFJ.  It is the helping function for the dominant function Ni.  It works with introverted intuition in a way that can channel the feeling of the whole.  But when I walk into most situations I have an uncanny ability to read the room right away.  But I don't lead with Fe, it backs up and helps my Ni.  If you had Fe as a dominant function, that is a very different personality, ditto for having Te as a dominant function.

You're a hard one to read. I initially thought you're INTP because you clearly like to soak up fine details and a lot of knowledge, but you also seem to have Ni. So IDK. I see your dilemma.

How to distinguish between Ti analysis and Te analysis? 

I could be wrong but someone like Emerald seems Ti to me. And keep in mind, Ti is 3rd in the stack for an INFJ. Some will have it more developed than others.
