Do women understand how men see female beauty?

25 posts in this topic

Do women actually realize how much female beauty can affect men?

From my experience, men seem to react much more intensely to a woman’s appearance than women realize. When a man sees a truly beautiful woman, it can feel like gold to him. When a woman sees a truly handsome man, it can feel more like silver.

Maybe I’m completely wrong, but I wonder if women realize just how differently men can experience female beauty.

Do women experience the same thing with men, or is it actually different?

@Monster Energy I have experienced that women are attracted to I mean in most of the cases to personality.Confidence which signals outcome independence rather than the confidence of getting her is highly counterintuitive. They choose partners based on their interactions with men not appearance per say . For most women it's like this I don't know about the rest.

Attraction is Subtle and highly deceptive as well as follows reverse psychology .

Don't be weird man lmao. Women can be intrigued in the same way. But usually they need more time.

Haven't you seen teenaged girls, especially ones that are part of fandoms? Or grown women acting like teenaged girls? They only react that way if the guys are pretty.

I wasn’t asking what women are generally attracted to in men. I was asking whether women experience male attractiveness with the same intensity that men can experience female beauty.

Not really.

What if this is just fascination + identity + seriousness being inflated into universal importance?

I think women can experience the same thing but they have more criteria when evaluating men so it's rarely just by looking at a beautiful man, it's more by witnessing male greatness over time.

Women usually get crushes on guys they know over time; even when it comes to celebrities. When women are really into an artist, she bonds with him over months by listening to his music when she feels down for example so it's also a function of how much value the man gives her.

Most men don't give much value so there's not much to be in awe of.

When I was younger (like under the age of 15), I was mostly focused on a guy's appearance to determine whether or not I'm attracted to him.

And when I was between 11 and 14, I was really attracted to first boy-bands... and then more punk-band guys. Appearance weighed heavily.

That said, I'm not sure it quite registered in the same way that female beauty does to a man.

You see, I have always been able to look at a very attractive women and feel like "Wow!" And I always felt more "Wow!" about women's looks than men's looks, even though I'm only romantically attracted to men and rarely sexually attracted to women (and never romantically attracted to women).

And this "Wow!"... it's not even usually coming from a place of sexual attraction. It's just a deep appreciation of Feminine beauty.

So, I would imagine if you took my "Wow!" response and put it together with a straight man's libido, then it would probably be even more of a draw than it already is.

But I think what often compounds it has a lot to do with cultural attitudes about male beauty.

There's an expectation over the past couple centuries that men dress plainly and don't focus on appearance much.

But before then, it was seen as a sign of wealth and status for a man to beautify himself is make-up, heels, powdered wigs, silk robes, etc. You find this in the 1700s quite a bit with the royalty and aristocracy of the time.

So, because women are currently seen as the only people who are allowed to be beautiful, a man who sees beauty in a woman is also encountering his own disowned beauty.

And this can produce all kinds of feelings of longing and feelings of jealousy... even outside of his libido.

I’m a woman…and when I look at an attractive beautiful male, young or old, doesn’t matter the age. My immediate response is … I want to jump his bones. That’s how beauty affects me.

Does that help?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, anyway. So there’s no need for men and women to be jealous of each other’s beauty, either.

Beauty is everything, and everywhere. And that’s what makes it attractive. Attractiveness owns you, it casts a spell on you, you are helpless to its lethal potency.

I’m glad we agree on this.

Thanks for your answer, that was really interesting to read.

It would help more if you admitted whether you’re a baddie or not. Do attractive women experience this too, or is this mainly something women with less attractive faces experience?

It only owns you if you let it. Men have a harder time letting go of it than women do.

This is why you love manipulation, because you know people see you as a prize.
