Yes, that’s it. I can’t accept that,  so I’ll accept that too, yes.

Y'all be practicing non-dual self-harm. You're only harming yourself. You're treating your brain like a pot of stew, stiring it into a homogeneous Oneness.

No, I think it was preached.

What do you think the better alternative is?

Every function of body belongs to it, not you. Consider thinking as heartbeat, out of control. Nothing can be done about it.

You can actually work on stilling your thoughts.

Mind is an hungry animal, if you resist or try to fix it, it gets feed, gets bigger.

If you don't react, don't feed, it dies.

If you push, it pushes harder.

Have you ever tried to still your thoughts?

Yes. I did million times, and every time lost the battle. Then I give up.

Be very mindful of thoughts and imagine the moving mind as a nut moving back and forth.  Now image a double-handed wrench and lock it on that nut so it stops moving.  Hold that wrench there with both hands.  This is the technique I share for stilling thoughts and I can use it anytime I want, although at first it is best to do this in a meditation session until it becomes something that you just do automatically.  I had to practice this for many hours and years to do it at will now.  But most of the time I do not want to still the mind.

Unfortunately thousands hour of your work on thought control or whatever will change with only one hard slap.

@Joseph Maynor @James123 To each his own. For me it's silent mantra meditation. Thoughts become so far and few between, awareness can be aware of them even before they evolve into full-fledged thoughts. It's a place where awareness basks in the absolute stillness of the mind.

When the secret is revealed to you, you will know that you are not other than God, but that you yourself are the object of your quest.
