Pulled the move I was making in my head from the start as a retort here!

To be honest though, that type of thinking is reprehensible to me. Anathema to connection and love. I feel gross even writing it!

Yea, exactly. Half the dudes in this thread would get quite upset reading r/FemaleDatingStrategy and say that the women are gold diggers and materialistic etc. then in the same breath write out shit like what’s in this thread.

This is sadly true, and that’s coming from a woman who understands this truth.

It’s not even the man’s fault because he was simply born this way. Evolution tricked us big time into believing this was all about romantic love and we fell for the trick hook line and sinker. As for evolution in progress, it only cares about replicating itself as and through the male and female reproductive organs. Humans just turned this into a big love story because sex and love became a big money making business for them. Human relationships are simply transactional, it’s big business and they are simply using each other to make their business grow. This can all be seen through for the scam it is.

I would rather dare to challenge that assumption. Why many people settle in lon term marriages ? Why many men stay single ? These are questions worth contemplating.

Men and women settle in long term relationships for kids, sex and the fear of being alone. That’s why they call it settling. They’ll deny that of course. 

Otherwise they’d choose no kid life, a solitary solo life, not isolation, but the freedom to just be without distraction or fear or responsibility for others.

Sometimes that kind of thinking can be a comfortable hopelessness. A sort of denial of the possibility of any other explanation to avoid feeling the despair of ones situation. Just one possibility.

But I think a much fairer take would be it simply isn't true. 

We could look at the need for food, water etc as things men might care more about. I think within the context of the thread we would approach these two things as taken care of. 

Men care about lots of things. Not just sex. 

A stronger claim would be "men care more about sex than anything else". But this doesn't accommodate people who are asexual - just as one example.

The title of the thread alone makes it clear that this is a man’s thread, so the few women who are on this forum can avoid it completely and don’t have to read it. Some of you (people in general not women) these days get offended and triggered way too easily…

There is nothing inherently wrong with what he is writing, mutual sexual encounters are not a crime. 

Don’t like the language used? Then don’t read it or should there be a warning message in the beginning just like in videos, “viewer discretion is advised” ?
