I can agree based on my lived exeperience now and current memories that it seems safe to assume that I'll never be able to know if another mind exists, but from this state of consciousness it sure seems that others exist - it certainly seems like there's other beings out there that have private thoughts and preferences that I dont typically have access to.

From this state of consiousness it does seem impossible to know for sure whether other people are having a lived experience of reality that I would call similar to my own current experience if I were to experience it. There's no real evidence that they are, but there's no real evidence that they aren't either.

So yes, it seems we can never know for sure... but maybe we can.

Some people seem to be pretty sure.

Solopsists who "know for sure that other minds DON'T exist" with 100% or 99.99% certainty seem to have accessed a state of consiousness that I have not accessed yet.

Right now, others really seem to exist... like, it seems silly to assume that they don't.
But then during certain states of consiousness / deep contemplation apparently it can be 'known for sure that there are no other minds!

But then it seems like you go back to the 'human' state of consiousness, now with a memory of that experience, and look, here are the other minds doing their thing!

But, if reality is infinite, why can't both ontologies be true, depending on the state of conciousness?

Why can't there be others and also no others?

Who's to say there couldnt be another state of consciousness in which it becomes abundantly clear that there are without a doubt, other minds, or even that there are infinite minds?

I've never tried 5-Meo and maybe that shows, lol

It becomes true by default - even if you don't take DMT and become direclty conscious of it...because whether or not you can imagine if there are other minids, there will only ever be what is actual... But yeah you're right, it can be validated for sure by becoming directly conscious of it.  That was a scary awakening for me.

The Absolute Nature of Infinity / Reality reveals there is nothing outside of it because it is everything. And by definition there can be only one everything, if there was something outside of everything it wouldn't be everything. It's an ontological Absolute.

Now solipsism comes into play because for self and then other to exist you need to fundamentally have 2 parts (self / other)

But what undermines this is because of the oneness of everything, existence can not be divided between multiple parts. Any and all things must be rooted in the same existence. Try to find the line where 2 parts are separate or where the part stops being the whole. See you've never found such a line.

and because of the lack of this boundary of division, it becomes possible you can become directly conscious of what existence is. And because everything is one and you are conscious, that means consciousness is intimately intertwined with oneness.

@Inliytened1 The awakening being scary is fundamentally the ego's reaction. God is head over heels in love with it's own aloneness

One could look at it that way, or it can be God just freaked out that he's God.  Why wouldn't that be possible?

You think God can't be scared unless it is in the ego state?   This was definitely not an egoic state of conscioussness, this what much different in terms of state of consciousness than the normal state.

Was that your first awakening or an awakening you've had after being totally stuck in ego survival mode for an abnormally long stretch?

I ask because I've only experienced any "difficulty" in the very early going and with the sober realizations. I wasn't freaked out per se but there was something akin to shock or surprise followed by what I can only call sadness with the knowledge that I was completely alone.

It was the last one I had actually, total Oneness..I was at work when it hit, I might have been on the forum.  I saw my coworker literally as me.  There was no diference, the Oneness was so total.  I then stumbled my way out of work barely able to function.  Got in the car but had to pull over as everything became apparent I was the only thing in existence and all other was a projection of my own mind as God.  I was on the brink of insanity at this point because everything had been recontextualized.  So it may be more shock than terror, or a combination of both.  I mean that's a lot no matter what state of consciousness you are in.   I was still walking around but was in a much higher state of consciousness where the ego was gone.  Self and other had completely colllapsed.

It happens when you take a high dose of psychedelic, it's a common phenomena. You usually perceive your experience as limited, then you take the drug x and for a moment you perceive yourself without limits, that's extremely strange, so your mental processes restructure for a while creating the certainly of that you are creating the reality with your mind, and being unlimited, obviously the others only exist as images because if they have their own experiences, it would be a limit between you and them, and this is impossible from your actual perception.

Imo it's just a mistake that happens when you confuse your unlimited nature with your limited form.

This makes sense! So upon entering an unlimited state of mind, it become clear that there is no boundary between myself and other, yet most of the time I find myself in a limited state of mind (and least, it appears limited) and here it seems like there is a distinction between self and other.

It sounds like you are implying the both of these are simulatenously true - 'others exist while I exist in a limited form' + 'I am the only being who exists while I exist in an unlimited form'... or have I misinterpreted your last sentence?

The point is that what is unlimited is the fact of being and you are that fact of being manifested as a form. But the form is limited.

Then the mistake that happens in spirituality is that they identify the fact of being with consciousness, then as they feel that they are unlimited consciousness for them it's impossible that other consciousness exist, but they don't see that consciousness is a form, a manifestation of the fact of being, and absolute being is unlimited and it's exactly the same in you than in me, without the slightest difference, but our way of appearing is different.

Then it's totally compatible that there is one being and many different consciousness and manifestations
