The irony is that AI companies will themselves keep lists of which books are AI, so they can avoid training on them, or devolve into inbred abominations.

I think future books will come with a sticker that clearly says, "No AI". People will makes lists of AI and non-AI books. Amazon will probably have an AI category and non-AI category for books. And authors who lie about using AI will get blacklisted and shamed.

Frankly, 50% of the most popular books are probably ghost-written anyway. Celebrities are not writing their own books.

I don't often feel like I waste my time, I can usually positively reframe. But I wish I could delete the space in my brain that it occupied for the days after. I think I got brain damage from it 🤣

These days I feel like AI writing a book for someone is just the new, cheap way to advertise/market

I will die happy never reading that book haha
