Poor intelligent stupid people

10 posts in this topic

Some things are so obvious that you have to be a scientist/rationalist to not see them.

You tell them: look at your hand dude! Look at a cat! Can't you see the infinite intelligence of it? Can't you see that such a cool thing cannot happen out of randomness and idk.. natural selection bullshit?

Your hand, your cat, is your best poof that you are so fuckiing wrong about reality. No need for double blind studies and scientific "proof". Your FKING hand is the best proof.

Had a discussion with two of such people yesterday.  You corner them with these arguments and then they back off and say: well we don't actually know what is behind all this intelligence. Aha! Then why the fuck you got so triggered when I raised this ball? Maybe because I shook you reality a bit, maybe I made you doubt your world.

"Science will figure this out in the future". Your sure? How? What are you going to measure? What variables are you going to isolate?

In don't even need to change my consciousness state and experience something else in order to see how wrong they are. I can logically prove to myself from this normal state how wrong they are.

These are very smart people with whom I am talking. People who read 200+ books. That is what amazes me. And they come with good arguments based on their worldview. If everything you know is logic and rationalism, then they are aces of it. But in the same time they are wrong, they are laughably wrong. It is like being so good at chess that you beat everyone, but the answer to your search is not winning at chess, it is letting go of chess and looking at your hand.

It depends on who is defining intelligence.

I don’t understand science. Seriously — I couldn’t even tell you what a nucleus is using science’s worldview and terminology. I look at a picture of a cell and don’t understand jackshit. Even if you gave me a lecture on it using simple English. I can’t read or make out books; I can’t visuals in my mind due to aphantasia.

But, for some reason, I can read Leo’s writing or videos for 10,000 hours and most of it makes sense. And I can take weed or ketamine and understand what God is in less than an hour.

So does that make me stupid or intelligent? Depends on how you frame it.

(Edit/Additional observation)… Now, that doesn’t mean that I only surround myself with Actualized content, lock myself in a cave, and avoid everyone that doesn’t follow this work. My “other half”/the other Yimpa whom I live with hates and strongly disagrees with all this stuff, “this is all a hallucination” “I am God” “there is no one else here”… blah, blah, blah.

But, that’s the beauty of it, and the balance. I couldn’t enjoy living a human existence and exploring my human self without them. Which I think ties into what Leo said in one of his videos, something about synergizing science and mysticism. The rational and the woo. A marriage and a union between the two opposites.

You have to like it. It has to feel important on a personal level.

It takes a lot of contemplative effort to see through the illusions of science, hence why is so uncommon.

Basically how science deals with generating any kind of understanding is by brute force trial and error (the so called evidence). And is not necesarily the most advanced form of understanding. So you can't trust that kind of process that much really.

It's science as a culture, as conformity, as group-think.

These rational people do not understand that their worldview is just group-think, not a serious inquiry into Reality.

That's why I called it "the myth of science". Science has turned itself into a myth. The myth of this ultimate mode of knowledge. But that notion is itself not scientific. Science is just much more limited than even scientists know.

Scientists would be fine if they were more humble. But they turn into arrogant jackasses like Neil DeGrasse Tyson or Prof Dave. They have turned science into a totalitatrian worldview, which is antithetical to real science. Real science should be very open because it does not know so much.

@Leo Gura yes! That arrogance is annoying me. Dunning Kruger effect. They got some success by creating all this tech and stuff and became cocky based on it. They think they figured out epistemology and are jumping into ontology claims.

If only they realized that mysticism would make them more intelligent.

Why do you believe religious text and not scientific text?
