But if your sense of separate self is an illusion, does the same not apply to everyone else, or am I missing something ?

it applies to everyone else of course.

The most accurate position possible is to say there are no separate selves at all . Neither a separate me nor a separate you . All there is is this. In this actuality there is actually no "you" and no "other". If you try to pin point where or what exactly is" you" in direct experience and what is or where exactly is "other" you will fail miserably. Because this boundary is completely imaginary. It's all one thing. There is no you right here perceiving a world out there. It's all here. Here is there. You is the world.  So what you call other people are literally you. The entire actuality of what's showing up in consciousness right now is you. Not just what you are  identified with as your body. The entire field of consciousness is you. From this place there is neither  you nor a world as two separate things. There is only what is. And what is.. Is one unbroken actuality with no divisions. If you lose that awareness of clarity and revert back to thinking that I am me right here looking at the world out there.. Then a question might arise about the nature of the relationship between me and the world.. Am I projecting the world? Imagining it like a dream that has no reality outside my own experience? Or is it just there and I m merely perceiving it..?. But the whole question is based on a false sense of self that is separate from the whole.  People on this forum don’t think of it from this angle . They think I’m a separate human and others are separate humans ..so am I the only separate human who has consciousness?

“God is the Alpha Omega .. the beginning-less  beginning and the endless end .
He is the first without start . He is the last without end . He is the manifest actuality ..nothing covers him . He is the most hidden essence  ..nothing can grasp him .. nothing below him or more subtle than him .The ego is the belief I’m separate from god . Because being god is too good to be true .No matter how dark it gets or difficult it gets ..no matter how long it is going to take .. my destiny is the infinite happiness and infinite joy and love as the best thing ever ..God .  “

-that’s a me .

Aha, thank you.

I would also just like to get some clarity on one other thing if you don't mind,

A while back in the Jim Newman thread you said:

"to answer the question just in case the objective wasn’t clear ..it’s the absolute self . If you were to tell Jim Newman there is such a thing as an absolute self he would deny it and say that there is no self at all.  Those non duality speakers who say there is no self at all have a huge misunderstanding of certain teachings of Buddhism (essentially they are in love with the Buddhist teaching about no self  and just parrot it mindlessly.. there is no separate self inside the human body . That’s true . But they miss the absolute self which could be said to be the ground of being . It’s there even in Deep sleep ..prior to birth ..and after the death of the body . And it’s unborn and deathless .  That’s how you can remember that you were nothing before birth and you can remember there was nothing in deep sleep..because the absolute self was there in those states . It doesn’t die or sleep . It’s pure eternal awareness."

I am curious, how exactly is your notion of Absolute Self, different from, the Indescribable Mystery (or the Beloved), so called Nothingness (not the opposite of somethingness, but I admit potentially a misleading term), that has the infinite ability to appear as anything under the sun and beyond, and which has as its nature, unconditional freedom, unconditional love, unconditional aliveness, infinite beauty etc ?

@Someone here "

That's the classical mainstream definition of solipsism. I think no one here thinks that.

It’s no different.  The absolute self is omnipresent.  So it’s everything.
