Music to meditate to

Post here music with perhaps deeper meaning, for mini-meditations.

Some pop songs for example can be interpreted in deeper way than originally intended. And even if the text is not that deep, a beautiful song can make you feel a certain way.

For example this Shakira song, one can contemplate their true self of naked awareness underneath the clothes of appearances. It is also stunningly beautiful.

Another beautiful song with deep meaning

So share here songs for mini meditations, from any genre, whether with text or not doesnt matter,  what matters is the feeling it can give.

It’s better and more effective to meditate WITHOUT any music, mantras, or objects of concentration. Confront the silence and emptiness head-on. Just sit in silence, externally and internally, with zero distractions.

The mind will go crazy. It will want ANYTHING but that.

At first, it will be difficult, but if you sit long enough, you will gradually begin to enjoy the silence and discover the peace within.

“God is the Alpha Omega .. the beginning-less  beginning and the endless end .
He is the first without start . He is the last without end . He is the manifest actuality ..nothing covers him . He is the most hidden essence  ..nothing can grasp him .. nothing below him or more subtle than him .The ego is the belief I’m separate from god . Because being god is too good to be true .No matter how dark it gets or difficult it gets ..no matter how long it is going to take .. my destiny is the infinite happiness and infinite joy and love as the best thing ever ..God .  “

-that’s a me .

To be perfectly fair, there is always some sound, unless you are in a sensory deprivation tank. Having music on, is kind of like a way to shut your ears for the external (random) noise with specific noise you have chosen.

Without music, you are still not meditating in complete silence. You don't have to be concentrating on the music, but just let it be in the background and act on your subconscious without any conscious effort.

Lets ignore the title, this is a nice playlist.

There is not much noise where I live past midnight. It’s completely silent in my neighborhood late at night . Which is also when the mind naturally is less active and more ready to meditate and relax.

Isn't one of the main ideas of meditation to find the silence in the midst of noise

There are two types of “noise “ :External noise like the sounds of cars and dogs and loud music . And internal noise which is the monkey mind thinking thoughts nonstop .

You can’t stop external noise by stopping internal noise . But it’s helpful to stop external noise if you want to stop internal noise .:)

I don't quite enjoy the self-assured smiley face at the end of that statement, as I do not agree with it. All noise is internal, it is all happening within awareness.

The Parable of the Empty Boat

Quote

A monk wants to find a completely quiet place to meditate. Frustrated by the constant noise and distractions at his monastery, he decides to take a boat out to the middle of a lake where no one can bother him. [1, 2]

He sits in the boat, closes his eyes, and begins to meditate. For a few hours, it is perfectly peaceful. But suddenly, bump—another boat crashes right into his. [1, 2]

Without opening his eyes, the monk feels a wave of intense anger rising. He thinks, "How dare someone be so careless? I am out here clearly trying to meditate, and they run right into me!" He opens his eyes, fully prepared to scream and yell at the person who disrupted his peace. [1, 2, 3]

But when he looks, he discovers the boat is completely empty. It had simply slipped its tether from the dock and drifted across the lake with the wind. [1, 2, 3]

In that exact moment, the monk's anger completely evaporates, and he achieves enlightenment. He realizes that the anger was not caused by the boat; the anger was already inside him. The collision was just the external trigger that brought it to the surface. [1, 2, 3]

From that day on, whenever anyone tried to provoke him or get on his nerves, he would simply smile and think, "They are just another empty boat.
