My mother got lots of sales for her sewing business with Google ads.

They do work even for small businesses if you have something good to offer.

Google ads is an ambiguous term. Google search text ads can be very effective for proper keywords. That's different than display ads on Twitter. Specifically, image based banner ads have very poor ROI. Google Adwords can have good ROI if you have the proper product/service.

The quality of traffic and clicks on Google is like 10x higher than Twitter.  I would not even trust Twitter to report honest metrics for clicks and views. Musk has manipulated the hell out of Twitter.

Yeah, I wouldn't buy Twitter ads either.

She uses performance max btw, so banners and videos too.

Well, display ads in general are very low ROI. Usually those ads work for major global brands, not unknow individuals doing direct sales. Those ads are meant for building generic brand presence like Coca Cola or BMW.

Display ads generate very little direct sales.

When you see a Coca Cola ad, they do not expect you to click a button and buy a coke right then. But as a non-major brand, you need sales to pay for the cost of the ad or you go broke real quick.

I used it to do dropshipping, you can test and optimise it to have ROI superior to 2 it can be really awesome ! And make a lot of sales

I mean, self-help content, books and courses, there's one obvious way to market, Google Ads on YouTube.

Leo has a lot of potential to market future products, the main channel is for social proof, that this is not some random course scammer posting YouTube ads.

But even if someone doesn't have such assets, trust can be manufactured in various ways. That's the devilish nature of marketing, it's way faster and more effective to create a false impression, than honestly grow support for your products from the ground up.

I think part of being an artist is putting yourself out there.  You don't keep it for yourself.  Artistry is about sharing artworks with another.  It is social.  It is valuable for others to see masters in different artforms creating artworks.
