I want to debate that social validation has to be necessary because we have that ability wired into us.

Weak argument because we could use the same measuring stick for rape as well but rape is morally harmful where as social validation can be harmful and by its nature is not.

I don't disagree with you because I actually don't know what your necessary entails.

I know that is important to discern otherwise I will not know what you meant.

No I mostly disagree with you. Validation doesn't only mean that you're desperate for approval. It means that your peers approve of your contribution to the group. If you don't contribute positively to the group what do you spend your days doing? Even this whole forum is only possible because a large of us validate Leo's work otherwise he would be like a random dude saying random stuff on the internet that nobody relates to.
