Claude Mythos is crazy good

@Breathe can you tell me which workers were laid off? In what position?

Junior, senior, and staff level developers. Also I know of one program manager. I left the company before the layoff but was told by a couple of my friends that either work there or were laid off themselves. I don't know who else was let go but it was mostly on the developer side I believe.

I just googled it. 10% of the workforce was laid off. Approx 1000 workers. 50% of the people from the office in my city was laid off.

I'm an avid user of artificial intelligence and use all major models on the daily basis. However, I will remain skeptical until we actual see it in use and are provided with truth, not hype and benchmarks. A company burning $10 billion a year just to keep the lights on hasn't solved the puzzle. By the time public get access to Claude Mythos, Google will be working on the next Gemini; OpenAI Spud will release and China will be trailing behind. Then AI companies have to push for another funding round and spend 5x their previous budget just to train the next frontier model. Right now, it's a loop to the bottom and that's when the bubble burst. AI has only proven to code at a high-level: it has done nothing else so far to be proven. Cybersecurity, if proven, will be their 2nd best product after years of training their model.

Lets breathe and wait for AI to prove itself.

Oh no AI is extremely useful, that I agree.

And anTropic has a good track record, I'm just saying that I've seen a lot of these "it's too dangerous for the public" news headlines. it was always a lie.

Layoffs have very little to do with AI, this is another misdirection by the news. Companies have been mass laying off their employees nonstop way before AI. It's a common business pruning technique
