Really?

Yeah I'm not sure either. Weed certainly produced insights but nothing like tryptamines . All my thc insights were muddied compared to the crystal clear tryptamine insights.

I have found cannabis to be most effective for doing shadow work.  It magnifies my feelings and pulls into awareness repressed emotions, allowing me to explore them and get insights.  In contrast, mushrooms construct a narrative with visions which tends to distract me from underlying emotions.

Leo what do you think is happening with people who use cannabis multiple times a day, every day? I remember when I was smoking that if I took a long enough break then came back to cannabis, it was incredibly profound and enlightening. Then I would start using it daily and it would slowly pull me down into a pit of fog and unconsciousness.

I can't say because weed for me is totally different than normal people.

Weed is as powerful as DMT on me, with zero negative or addictive effects.

So I have no idea why y'all getting addicted to it.

Because it regulates a disfunctional endocannabinoid system, which many people have due to toxin/heavy metals/nnEMF exposure.

You are an exception because you have a super sensitive ECS. For those who have a normal ECS, but somehow compromised it, weed provides great relief - hence why it is easy to get addicted.

@cistanche_enjoyer I don't remember the video , but Leo made an offhand comment once "I don't care about pleasure." Seems like the type of person who wouldn't get addicted to stuff😆.

Unironically that comment changed my whole perspective, in some ways even more than the God stuff, bc I simply had no idea it was possible for a human to live that way.

I've been in both camps: using weed everyday like a crutch and using weed once and then having a full blown ego death experience. Weed is good at magnifying whatever is there (other psychedelics are too but in their own way, and they're perhaps more rude sometimes pulling the rug from under you). If you're a manic guy stuck in his mind, weed will magnify that. If you're a couch potato stuck in your couch, weed will magnify that. If you're a non-dual or psychedelically expanded guy, weed will magnify that.

What weed seems to do is it narrows your cognitive lightcone. Your access to memories becomes less wide ("dissociation"), your focus becomes less fluctuating (unless you are in a state of paranoia or mania, which weed will magnify by focusing in on that paranoia or mania). It is associated with the neurochemical system of habit, which is by definition a narrowing of cognition. So whatever is there, or whatever you focus on, or whatever habit you have, weed will focus in on that.

And as for the emotionally numbing effect of weed: the way negative emotions work is they are supposed to break habit, interrupt usual processing and make you shift your focus. "Look here, danger — fear, move, retreat", "look here, a problem — rumination, access memory storage", "look, uncertainty — anxiety, predict future scenarios", "look, an obstacle — engage anger, focus on obstacle and eliminate it". Weed just makes you like "whatever man". Most of these things receive a general dampening, unless of course you get focused/fixated (obsessed) on any one of them.

I think seeking material pleasure is just incomplete seeking of Infinite Love.

Deep down, the only thing that can fully satisfy all your desires is Infinite Love / God’s Love. That is the real pleasure.
