The women on here should probably wear veils in their photos too. Utter lawlessness!

You're reading something into my words I didn't say.

It sounds like a beautiful concept!

Unfortunately awakening, enlightenment and 'higher consciousness' individuals do not transcend incentive structures and genetics.

Some of the most profound words can come out of a user, followed by the most offensive attack on someone else. Everyone has their conditioning they are progressing through.

Humans are very strange.

I would be nice not to have moderators.

You guys also don't see all the beneficial stuff the moderators do. It is human nature to fixate on the negative and amplify it.

It is far easier to fool someone, than to convince them they have been fooled.

Honestly, I think this website would be better without moderators. People should be able to express themselves however they want, even if that includes personal attacks. We’re here because we follow Leo Gura, and supposedly that means we’re working toward higher consciousness than the average person. If that’s true, then we should also have enough awareness to understand that letting people say what they really think isn’t a problem. The higher the consciousness, the more understanding there should be that it’s not wrong to speak your mind. Let it out, deal with it, and grow from it. Because the whole idea of moderators and rigid rules honestly feels like a low-consciousness way of handling things.

Yes and part of life is that some people are problematic and do not offer value to the greater community as a whole.

Self expression comes in many forms. In real life some people express themselves with a crowbar to the head of someone they disagree with. Perhaps we shouldn't have real life moderators either? Seems like you're on a low level of consciousness to be so naive about life. We need greater moderation not less IMO.

That's impossible, we have harmonious structure and moderation here.

Did something I say offend you?

Many people on this forum have seen moderators abuse their role.

For example?

Then this would be about corruption, not about moderation. But I honestly don't really know what you're talking about.

I’m not talking about physical violence. I’m talking about speech. Words should be allowed, even harsh ones. People should be free to say what they actually think and deal with the consequences socially, not through heavy moderation.

It’s obvious you haven’t really thought this through, because the way you framed it sounds pretty strange. But that’s not really an excuse. Maybe stop judging so quickly and actually think things through a bit in your life.

@Natasha Tori Maru yeah just don't lock this thread :P

"When you get very serious about truth you accept your life situation exactly as it is. So much so that you aren't childishly sitting around wishing it were otherwise. If you were confined to a wheelchair you would just accept it as how reality is. Just as you now just accept that you are not a bird who can fly."

I agree that moderators probably do a lot of useful work that people don’t see. My point is more about the direction of the community. If the goal is higher consciousness and radical self-honesty, then a space that allows more raw expression might also have value, even if it’s a bit messier.

“Locking this for low consciousness and breaking the guidelines.”

"Socially".. We're still in an online space where we're pseudonymous. That requires some form of moderation from the get go.

Would you vouch for allowing personal attacks? That would certainly lower the quality of discussions here, not improve it.

The art lies in finding a set of rules that results in the highest quality of discussion possible. To just remove all rules is not a solution, but a cop out.

I don’t agree. Attacks can sometimes lead to higher awareness because people are being real and not hiding what they actually think. If you really want to understand something deeper, you have to be able to say what you truly want to say. If people feel they can’t say it or are afraid to, then development gets blocked. But that’s just how I see it.

Imagine getting banned from this forum and still watching and supporting Leo on YouTube. The pain would be unreal.

What kind of attacks? Would a "Fuck You!" to you improve the quality of our discussion in any way?

Or do you just want to vent? I'd propose going into some kind of lost place and screaming from the bottom of your heart at the top of your lungs. That really helps.

Yes, even that can have value. Sometimes a raw “fuck you” is more honest than a paragraph of fake politeness. Suppressing how people actually feel doesn’t create better discussions, it just hides what’s really there. Development comes from seeing things as they are, not from pretending everyone is polite.

If we're talking about that, an online forum is not the right place for this kind of catharsis. I think that's the real issue here.
