How to get rid of chronic diarrhea?

Hi there! 

I know there is no size fits all but I am interested in hearing if anyone else have struggled with ongoing diarrhea in the past. If so, how did you overcome it? Did you perhaps notice other improvements in mood or focus as a side effect?

A bit about my situation: 

I have struggled with diarrhea/ upset stomach my whole life. I have had been tested recently by my doctor and he says he cant find any issues. I cut out gluten & milk a couple of years ago and also nicotine and cannabis a couple of weeks ago, but my stomach is not much better. I have had this issue as far as I remember. I pooped 4 times a day as a baby.

I eat oatmeal, eggs, chicken & veggies pretty much daily.

Is there any diets I can try out? Or is it most likely based on something mental like stress?

My friend even recommended me trying an Ayahuasca-retreat to heal my gut. Can this actually work?

Try a 3 - 7 day water fast then gradually introduce one food at a time like simple fruit, few hours later some veggies, gradually introduce heavier / desner foods and seeing / feeling how you "feel" and such. There is also something called a juice cleanse where people live for weeks to months purely on fruit and vegetable juice and sometimes incorporate 1 tbps of flaxseed or hempseed oil for balance then after a while introduce solid foods and this said to get rid of significant old waste and toxins and bacteria and parasites that cause these issues.

Usually a short fast will give you a taste of what a longer fast is capable of doing. Many people switch diets cut out foods but never give their bodies a break, and usually when they do a fast or solid food vacation, the body works much better again. A raw fruit-based / plant-based / low-fat diet will usually cure most diseases but again fasting is still crucial for proper reset of the body.  

Pair this with daily exposure to nature, sunshine, fresh air, beach swims or rivers, and adequate rest from the mind and over-stimulation and stress, healing naturally occurs.

How many doctors have you seen?

Try a fiber supplement for sure.

Also magnesium supplement may help. Research how magnesium affects bowl movement.

It may be a gut bacteria issue too. So try a probiotic regimine.

You can also order a detailed stool analysis test which analyzes any possible problems like wrong bacteria, etc. These tests can be ordered online and done at home.

Ayahuasca is not going to fix this issue.

It depends on the form of magnesium. It’s all magnesium, but different way it is processed.
