"It is impossible for a man to learn what he thinks he already knows."

The Fifth Patriarch held a poetry contest to determine his successor. One monk wrote about polishing a mirror to remove dust (the ego). While Huineng, an illiterate novice, responded that there's no mirror to begin with.

When the secret is revealed to you, you will know that you are not other than God, but that you yourself are the object of your quest.

First polish the mirror, then drop the polisher or mirror.

All is step by step.

When you don't react or even respond to the 'outside' reality events, but just observe them, the whole Universe stops.

The Observer doesn't react. He illuminates.

@Natasha Tori Maru It was just a share. I originally heard that story from your amigo Alan Watts.

When you respond and act, but there is no external reality, nor response or act, only reality in perpetual flux without separation, you are one with the whole. When you observe, there are two.

Who is the ego tricking?

Is there actually a victim?

Look closely 👀

Listening to that video, I see the following: Ramana believes that humanity lives in a state of error, chasing desires, prisoners of the ego, doing things they shouldn't. Their entire view of reality is false, but there is a true vision, his vision,  that is without ego. But the ego is tenacious, and when you begin to transcend it, it transforms into a spiritual ego that thinks it is evolving, reaching enlightenment, which is another mistake because enlightenment is now.

The guy seems to have an interesting mental mess. First, he didn't achieve "enlightenment" through a voluntary process; rather, he was naturally inclined toward it and went off to live in solitude at a young age. How does he know that in other cases a voluntary process is a mistake?

Second, he seems to think that reality is foolish and wrong, creating foolish, misguided humans who do a lot of things they shouldn't because they're false. The true thing is to be one with what he calls the true self, and not to pursue false goals like building civilizations and all that, since it's false. It seems that reality is stupid, but he can correct it by pointing out its stupidity, so reality will stop doing false things.

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty.  We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes Wise, Virtuous and AWAKE. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life GOD is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, because The Sun shines through All: Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God

How many years you are in this path, and haven't you realize that what you wrote above is still assumption and beliefs?

When anything and everything surrendered even having a idea to hold on to, self, ego, God, foolish, smart, enlightenment dissolves.

And that's what enlightenment is.

have this any relationship with what I wrote?

What I wrote are not beliefs, are opinions about the speech of Ramana maharshi
