Eating 1000 calories for a long time

Hey. A few months ago I realized that actually my diet consists of 1000 calories. I asked chatgpt if it`s fine, he said no. But actually, I feel totally fine. Of course, sometimes have cravings for food, especially before bedtime. But it happens not often. 

And I`m not trying to lose or gain weight, I don`t think about this. I just eat when I want to eat.

So, what is your opinion? Is it actually healthy to have that amount of calories?

Our opinion does not matter. You already know you "feel" totally fine. Need not take it further. 

Its simple. When you feel slightly off then observe how you ate and lived last few days and what changed. I sometimes eat 500 calories, sometimes 1500, sometimes 2000, its always intuitive and not set in stone.

I think this is where people in the modern world become sick and twisted, cause they try to calculate nature and do everything systematically, not realizing that true health comes from living naturally and eating intuitively. 

People think nutrition is only physical food, there is far more to nutrition that just physical nourishment.

I would definitely not recommend for an extended period of time. You will become malnourished. Nutrient deficiency.

Are you active? No thyroid issues?

Weight all food out and log to the gram?

I eat about 2k cals a day, 48kg 162cm 39yo female for reference.

Some people do get by on heaps less, the reason why 1000cals a day would be perceived as an issue would simply be because calculators would assume you weren't hitting minimum macros. But minimums are just a guide

@SimpleGuyokay, that's still in the officially healthy range. (BMI of 21.6 if you're curious). i guess it can't hurt to have some blood work done though, just to check if there's anything unusual going on.

other than that, i kind of agree with @Ramasta9but would emphasise that, given that you ask about it so directly, yes, chronically undereating will have consequences that will become noticeable eventually. so i'd say it's best to keep an eye on it.

I think 70kg is 155 lbs not 135? or are you 60kg? do you exercise or do much physical activity?

How is your overall health, how are your teeth, how fast do you heal from injury?, are your eyes clear and full of light? any dark circles under eyes?

How do your nails look, smooth or brittle with lines? hows your skin and hair? these are all good natural ways to gauge health but how you "feel" is the best and most accurate because nature is infinite intelligent and if you are tuned enough to your body you don't need any extra outside resource.

Yeah, quite active compared to "normal" human. No thyroid issues.

I don`t have scales at home, but I eat once a day and I cook by myself or what mom cooks for me. So it`s quite healthy food, no fast food, no cola-colas, etc. So I can`t physically stuff myself with a lot of food with one take.

Oh yeah, I`m sorry. I`m 70 kg which is 155 pounds.

Now, I don`t go to the gym, but I have a bit of workout everyday.

Everything that you mentioned is fine besides healing from injury. I get injuries very often, especially when I`ve been going to the gym. Props it is some calcium deficiency or whatever.

70kg 5'11 is healthy / optimal BMI

Calcium is often praised but often the wrong approach. Daily Vitamin D (sunshine), Vitamin C (fruits and berries), Vitamin K2, Silica (oats leafy greens, cucumbers), Magnesium (nuts & seeds) and healthy fats and antioxidants (fruits and vegetables) are far more important. Coconut water helps too.

Overall injuries are usually multifactorial, not just one vitamin or mineral missing. But if you cover bone strength, collagen health, inflammation control, hormone support, and recovery, you hit the main bases for injury prevention.

@SimpleGuy Have you eaten more calories before? Have you recently lost weight?

But honestly I call BS on this. You can hit your calorie intake in one sitting, that type of diet is normal for some people. And after weighing everything you found out that you do in fact only eat 1000 kcal a day then you you are a genetic freak who should be studied.

Science has no idea what they are talking about when it comes to food.Sadhguru says the complete opposite of what they say. If you want to listen to a yogi he said just eat 1 type of food a day. Science says you need 15 different types of food in 1 day and Sadhguru says thats not good for your body.

@JannesWe are science level 70 yogis are gut biome level 100. We are also being lied to by scientist on many different levels. They change their theories every couple years.

Sadguru also killed his wife and pushed for forced vaccinations, what kinda yogi is that? Dude's a charlatan and pseudo spiritualist, not anyone to look up to if you are serious about self-realization and inner-freedom. He will only lure you deeper into the system of illusion. Just look how he rambles and treats others. You guys are in for a rude awakening. A real yogi will never go against nature.
