I think it's in the first episode where he mentions one of the payoff of doing this self-actualization work is that the concepts you learn build over years and you get the satisfaction of understanding the world better than anyone else.

I remember watching this series years ago before I really got into politics and it made a huge difference on my understanding of the world. Without it I would've been a way angrier person that uses divisive rhetoric accidentally instead of seeing the power of uniting people.
