It is not quality, it is lame. Dark Souls has 40+ cool weapons. Getting new weapons is what the whole game is about.

Brilliant take. I replayed it this year and was struck by how rich in atmosphere that game is. I prefer the "lore" of DS1 but there is an existential layer to the themes explored in 2 that really resonated with me. The rejection/fear of death is a concurrent theme in the series but 2's depiction of this is the most nuanced and interesting. Powerful piece of art. Not quite the best from the gameplay perspective but still solid

Bloodborne weapons offer way more in terms of different play style individually. Your experience is going to be impacted a lot more from finding the Blades of Mercy as opposed to various spear and sword variants.

Sekiro shows that you don't need to find a single new weapons to make a fun souls game.

@UnbornTao I'm sure it's a good game. The issue is whether the prospect of playing it excites me. To me the feeling is missing.

I have the same problem with Avatar 3. I just don't feel excited to watch it because it seems too predictable and known, regardless of how technically excellent it is.

Games and films need to bring something exciting to the table. To me, riding a horse and shooting cowboys isn't exciting. But hey, that's just a matter of taste.

Rockstar is overrated. I haven’t enjoyed a single game they’ve made.

Even the video briefing in Anno 2070 feels more exciting—just listen to that gorgeous soundtrack:
