@Daniel Balan yes dude I lived with those people too, and they are the opposite extreme. If Scandinavian people live in a systemic fakeness and emotional suppression, most romanians live in an uncivilised circus, traumatizing and hurting each other with aggressive words and behaviour.

But if you were to choose one over the other, would you agree with me that the pussified westerners are 1000 times better people and more desirable to be around than the stone age barbarians of Eastern Europe? I'd bet that if you want to open a business you rather open it in Scandinavia in spite of a lot more taxes rather than opening it back at home. Why? Because there if you build a factory you have the human capital required to run that factory, here the people are so at stage red that any sane investor doesn't risk his money building a factory where illiterate uncivilized rednecks can wreck havoc into.

You are massively exaggerating the situation in Romania. We have great programmers, well educated doctors, engineers etc. We have programmers that earn more money than the engineers in Sweden.

Those barbarians are found in the countryside and resemble the typical third world dynamics. Your rethoric reminds me of my childhood when I was afraid to go out and play because some "barbarian" group might beat me. Of course they are toxic as hell, no arguments here.

Yea I would still maybe open a business in Scandinavia because there are better regulations and opportunities. I did not say that Scandinavians are bad at their job or at business, in fact the opposite, they are killing it. They are world class at hard skills: design, innovation, engineering etc. the problem is with the soft skills and mainly in men. Social skills, body language, tonality authenticity, EQ, humour etc. they have to play less videogames, go out socialize, dare to be and say what they want without intoxicating themselves with alcohol. They have to unbraiwash themselves from gender blindness ideology, from the law of Yante bullshit and learn about healthy masculinity and so on. So that women find them attractive and they won't be forced to passport fish women from Thailand. It breaks my heart because they are good guys, really good souls and willing to do their best, but they got brainwashed into mindless conformity and post-modern gender nonsense.

We cannot force everyone to behave the same. Some people are born with a chill, laidback, feminine personality that fits the nordic overly polite, consensus culture. But guys like me, an ambitious, spicy introvert who sees problems everywhere does not fit this. Why did Kid A say that they don't make any new friends after a certain age? Because it is very hard to create a connection if you only talk about positive and polite shit, it is the controversy and negative shit that shows the real face of a person, and that encourages the other to open up too. Why should I choose you to be my close friend over another if you talk about the exact SAME boring shit that I heard at 1000 more people before? Yes conformism comes with benefits, it makes people stick their head into the sand and collaborate, to build a boat together. This is why Sweden works so well while Romania is shit, because in Romania everyone builds their own small boat for their family and friends not for the whole country.

Vulnerability is key, without vulnerability, connection is absent. For example I make myself vulnerable right now by sharing these controversial opinions, this behavior is appreciated by serious mature people while the kids might avoid me because it disturbs their fantasy lollipop world of toxic positivity and avoidance of vulnerability. Even quality playfulness, teasing, and humour requires vulnerability. You risk offending the other with a bad joke, not all the jokes land well, especially with new people you meet. Dare to joke around, dare to talk serious shit, and the serious people will appreciate it while the snowflake kids will run to their mommies. Things that put you in a bad light done with the hope for connection is some serious vulnerability. It is saying: "look! I am not perfect, I am human" and that creates connection not fake perfection performance done by these fucking whimps. Vulnerability is real diversity not this snowflake bullshit.

Holland looks good, what would you say are 3 of your favorite things and three of your least favorite things about living in the Netherlands?@Butters

I'm not Butters, but I've lived in the Netherlands for quiet a few years, comparing my experience to having lived in Scandinavia most of my life.

Best:

  • Food is cheaper and more diverse.
  • Road infrastructure is some of the best in world. Smooth, quiet and minimal road work. Compared to Belgium, it's like night and day. You can literally feel the moment you cross the border. Even the airstrips are bad in Belgium. The Netherlands being small and flat makes it easy to get anywhere as well.
  • The netherlands, especially Amsterdam, is really centrally placed. You can easily travel to anywhere from here. Cheap and fast packaging too.

Worst:

  • Mandatory health insurance. This would be an upgrade for most people, but I'm used to healthcare being entirely free, so it is a downgrade for me.
  • You often have to fight your GP for treatment. They love sending people home if they aren't 100% certain of treatment. It nearly cost me my life once and permanently scarred me.
  • Those fucking fat bikes are everywhere. It's like hoverboards back in the day, but more hood ratty. People are manspreading on their bike like they are a riding tricycle. Pathetic.

Norwegians hate standing out. Despite being ideologically liberal, they are highly conformist and tend to see things that are different as strange and weird to a minute degree. There is a picture of school kids being asked if school should introduce uniforms, which they all say is a bad idea while all dressing and looking the same. When I went to high-school, all the boys would wear blue puffer jackets and girls black parkas, which had a carabiner attached to the rim of the hood. It's all brand specific even.

Norwegians ideologically believe in the freedom of the individual, but they still have that village mentality culturally, where conformity is key. They aren't overtly polite either. It's not that strange considering Norway  has been isolated for most of its history (which arguably it still is, especi ally outside of the capital).

Liberalism in Norway is in large part about the right to privacy. Norwegians aren't expressive as a result, which can even be seen in their food, which is bland and safe. The Norwegian version of taco, which arguably is their actual national dish, second to frozen pizza, is a buffet of common vegetables like salad and cucumber, cheese and plenty of meat. It's filling and inoffensive, while at the same time you can pick and choose ingedients like a buffet. Taco is like Norway, in that you have the freedom to be yourself but inside of a bubble of safe conformity.

Norwegian culture actually promotes a kind of safe masculinity, which is soft spoken, unopiniated and logical. A trait typical of certain Norwegian girls is that they are bit masculine actually, speaking little, with a low and slow tone. Kind of dead-pan. It's very characteristic of that culture. It's like a dozen years of schooling and the general culture has optimized out the irrationality of feminity.

@Basman yes, in a way I won't call nordic culture to be feminine, it is a blend of equality and conformism of femininiety but with a flavour of logical dead-serious way of interracting. It is a paradox of individualism ina very coformist/collectivistic society.

People project their own parents and Oedipal complex onto gender roles.

If like me your father is kind/stoic and your mother is more chaotic, you'll intuitively feel that Scandinavian culture is masculine and cultures further south are feminine.

"Ah, those hysterical, conflicted southern women," you might say.

Masculinity isn't played out here.

Nothing will prevent Willy.
