Olanzipine and Prozac

21 posts in this topic

I’ve been on these two meds for over a year now. 5 mg olanzipine and 20 mg Prozac every day.

Does anyone have something interesting to say or experiences to share about them?

There are certain things in my current “personality” that I can’t tell for sure if it’s a side effect of the meds or how I am naturally, currently in my life.

I personally don't.

Hope that was useful.

You provided me with a laugh at least 🤣

You don’t take any meds at all?

No, I don't really take any meds. I like my suffering raw. xD

From my experience, the meds have only provided a kind of sedative effect to a certain degree. Which can be nice but I’ve improved my stress management and lowered my stress naturally so I don’t feel I need them anymore. So I’m like you in that regard I wanna be natural , but I forgot how it feels to be natural

My brother is on medication - different to yours.

His experience is similar when he shares it. He is considering getting off them now, as, like yourself, he has worked on a lot of emotional issues. And now cannot be sure how the medications are effecting him.

Deal with the issue now, on your terms, in your control. Or the issue will deal with you, in ways you won't appreciate, and cannot control.

I would taper them down any day but you need doctors approval first.

@Sugarcoat Yep he's going to do that also.

I will touch base again in this thread if he notices changes :)

Cool thanks. I’ve been contemplating calling the doctors and asking if I can taper it down, and instead of taking the meds every day I’ll have them as a kind of “when needed” meds like some people do. But I just have this feeling the doctors are gonna say “you need to give it more time first” “you shouldn’t stop meds now that you feel better” (but I feel better mostly because of natural change)

Yes the above bolded - my brother worked on untangling some large unconscious beliefs and is working to gain experience to prove these thoughts about himself are not true. The meds got him stable enough to sit with the horrible feelings of emptiness and numbness he had, and now he feels he wants to engage in life sober to asses the cognitive change. While I do not know about your particular circumstance - he had really deep trauma from years ago.

Sounds like a similar path to you (but you may not have trauma, just an issue that needed some assistance via meds) :x

I'm glad they're useful in that regard and that you're better able to deal with stress as a result of the medication. But it depends, I can't really tell you what to do. You could ask your doctor what it would take for you to stop taking them, or even if that's recommended for you at this point.

I assume the drugs have some withdrawal symptoms, and it probably wouldn't be ideal to stop them all at once. Maybe one at a time? And gradually?

I might be naive, but are there some natural supplements that could help replace them - L-theanine, opium (I'm kidding with this one), magnesium, vitamin D, along with an exercise regimen? Just asking.

@Sugarcoat

These meds will sedate, they don't really do anything besides grounding you to materiality meaning lowering your consciousness.

When my kundalini awoke, i lost my shit a bit and didnt go to work called in sick. Had to go to the work doctor, he gave olanzapine sun. Then i felt my higher self pulling my jacket back gently, now i understand why.

I'm on totally different consciousness level/mind , much more advanced conciousness then how it used to be .

Yes I think it’s best when meds are not relied on but used in conjunction with natural inner work. Then when you feel okay enough naturally the possibility of tapering off the meds is reasonable to consider

Yes I see the value in meds and I think they’ve helped to calm down neurosis a bit. But then if you do natural inner work then ideally I want to try to taper down the meds as I don’t want them if I really don’t need them.

Yes and the tapering down is done with approval from doctor and gradually. I will be meeting doctor in 6 months but I’ve been wanting to call them prior to suggest tapering down. I think I’ll call them tomorrow

Yes healthy habits is something I try too. Like for example one evening I drank two cups of coffe and I felt a bit anxious that evening (more than usual) so if I’m not fooling myself: substances affect us in good and bad ways. So I wanna eat healthy and I’m open to natural supplements

I think the sedative effect is what I’ve noticed primarily; but I don’t feel much need for it anymore in same way

As long as you’re able to feel decent without meds you don’t need them

I never used olanzapine though, i was scared because how drastic my consciousness was changing and didnt really know what was happening back then. I got the medicine so i could stay home longer from work. The funny thing is, before the shit started happening. My youtube was sending so many videos to my homepages titled " you don't have to work anymore or go to work" , i was like yeah right... Then things started happening lost my sht, called in sick. Stayed at home for like like 3 months, resigned at my job after working there for 5 years, sold my house, went to bulgaria , bought apartment, and now i'm retired at 31. The secret that many don't know is that your higher self is the boss :)

Yeah, all that sounds reasonable. It's probably the way to go.

Wow retired at such young age! That’s cool. How though? If you don’t mind

Yea drastic changes in our consciousness can feel scary. But as long as we somehow end up finding a way of stabilizing we should be fine

Well i worked in the netherlands bought a house there in 2021, then sold for profit in 2025, also had savings. Then i came to bulgaria this year in may ( burgas) and bought last floor apartment for only 69.000 euro with sea view. And i live from my savings, don't really plan to work anymore. Maybe some internet jobs or other part time jobs if i get bored, but right now i'm in my transformation phase i mean like consciousness wise.
