Sequels are a trap!

There are some exceptions to this rule. For example the movie Cloverfield (2008) wasn't very good, but the sequel 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016) was much better in my opinion.

Cloverfield Lane was great.

It was not a sequel. That gross JJ Abrams just slapped the Cloverfield name on it at the last minute.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed that film when it came out. I still remember it vividly even after only seeing it once in the cinema. There's some brilliantly tense moments throughout and I actually gave a shit about the characters cause they didn't feel 2 dimensional.

It wasn't a typical sequel, but it followed up on the first movie in the last 15 minutes or so. It was also a completely different genre. One of the best psycho thrillers ever made.

Those aliens had nothing to do with Cloverfield monster. Just some bullshit JJ Abrams pulled out of his ass at the last second as a branding ploy.

Don't be trusting that JJ Abrams. He is a sneaky Hollywood devil.

I get what you mean. That part of the movie is basically corrupted. They just wanted to inflate sales, so they put the "Cloverfield" name on a movie that wouldn't otherwise get much attention. Creating movie franchises is much more profitable than making standalone movies with brand new names.

@Leo Gura I seen you like total recall, do you like the matrix

No. It is overrated and pretentious.
