The Comedy of Being Somebody

46 posts in this topic

The more seriously you take yourself, the more you suffer.

The heavier your sense of being “important,” the more fragile and vulnerable you feel, because ego thrives on weight, status, recognition and collapses when those are threatened.

Real freedom comes when you drop the burden of importance and let yourself be light, ordinary, nobody.

Therefore, The more important you think you are, the more life will fuck you. Because life doesn’t care for your seriousness. Drop it, and you are free and nobody.

The weight of importance is the weight of suffering; let it go, and you are light as air.

Preach

"When you get very serious about truth you accept your life situation exactly as it is. So much so that you aren't childishly sitting around wishing it were otherwise. If you were confined to a wheelchair you would just accept it as how reality is. Just as you now just accept that you are not a bird who can fly."

-Leo Gura.

Attachment = suffering

Take hold of your own life. See that the whole existence is celebrating.

These trees are not serious, these birds are not serious.

The rivers and the oceans are wild, and everywhere there is fun, everywhere there is joy and delight. Watch existence, listen to the existence and become part of it. -Osho

The good news is that a “Somebody”  knows they are God. That’s a good feeling, nothing compares. This is home.

Here, I’m always home with the beloved, my self.

These are still efforts. The me is always taking out it's tool kit to not be a me. It's funny how these calls to action to take no action are still actions. Neurosis and dis-ease at it's finest. There's nothing anyone can do or not do to become a nobody.

What you know leaves what you don't know and what you don't know is all there is.

Real freedom cannot be conditioned and have an agenda. That's not real freedom to drop the burden of importance. Real freedom is free to also be burdened with importance and be heavy, extra-ordinary and a somebody.

That's just the me talking to soothe it's dis-ease and seeks relief from itself. The one that doesn't care what arises and appears, is a closer representation of what true freedom expresses. True freedom is the freedom to be anything, the rest is slavery; which is also true freedom, so it's all done.

More like the comedy of trying to be a nobody. A nobody being a somebody that tries to be a nobody.

Just lie back and watch these thoughts.

The “ somebody “ is the same one asking who is somebody.

There’s something curious and something able to be aware of this curiosity.
And there’s something that gives curiosity a name.

İf you believe or attached to, there is "somebody" that's the ego.

İf word of "somebody" arise and falls within awareness and not attached to it, that's the Truth.

Your case is ego.

Call it ego then. That’s alive and kicking aware of itself.

Does it matter if ego is a comedy?

Ego is not alive, you believe in it, and therefore alive.

İf you be simply witness of these thoughts or beliefs, after some time, witness and witnessed, attachments or thoughts dies.

By meaning comedy is not blaming or making fun.

Not actually alive.

Call it God, Pure Consciousness, Allah, etc... Actually it has no name, because any name belongs to mind.

Therefore, what is always here. That's.
