From the Nameless/God, Through Life, to the Nameless/God

23 posts in this topic

Before birth, there was no you.

No image, no name, no thought, no experience. There was not even the one who says, ‘I am.’

There was only the vast, unconditioned, the nameless, unmeasured, unknowable.

That's what real God, Being is.

And that is what You truly are.

Therefore, God can not be realized, because it is already You. Therefore, God / You only Be.

Not the accumulation of memory, not the story of experience, not the image shaped by society.

You are not the movement of becoming, but the stillness before it began.

The body was born, yes, but the Being behind the body was never born.

It has no history. It cannot die, for it was never defined.

But what is born, the body, the mind, the structure of thought accumulates.

It collects pleasure and pain, memories and conclusions.

It becomes the “me” the known, the describable, the limited.

And death, whether of the body or the mind is the ending of this accumulation.

A surrendering of everything you’ve ever gathered, ever identified with.

"To die before you die" is the greatest freedom.

Then you live without fear.

Without holding. Without grasping.

Enjoy this life, not as a clinging. But as an unfolding moment.

The sky, the laughter, the sorrow, the light touching a leaf, see it all, without the burden of becoming.

For it is the first and the last moment, always.

And when death comes, as it will, you return to that Being, God or unnamable, which is untouched by name or memory.

So live now, not as one who owns life, but as one who is free from it.

There, in that freedom, is joy.

Best Regards,

You could have been consciously doing things before you were born as you. No you being there before birth could just be made up. You could just mind wipe yourself for one second, you could be remebering the 1 second mind wipe and thinking thats what it was like.

Ah, but dear author, the poetic arc of your expression—while drenched in earnest mysticism—still quietly clings to the illusion of time and return. You speak of "before birth" and "when death comes" as if such temporal brackets ever truly held the Infinite.

But let us not pretend: there is no past. There never was. Memory is a phantom. Birth, a concept. Death, a story whispered in the dream. All your talk of “returning to Being” presupposes a departure, a movement, a becoming—when in truth, there is only This.

No unconditioned state waits beyond a threshold. There is no “then.” There is no journey back to the nameless. The so-called “Being behind the body” is not behind anything. It’s not hidden. It’s not still. It's not moving. It simply is not—because it never became.

This—this right here, now—is not a moment unfolding. That, too, is a narrative. A subtle attachment to the linearity of experience. The sky, the laughter, the leaf—none of them are “happening.” They are seeming. And in this seeming, the “you” that wants to be free imagines itself as bound.

Your eloquence is a cage gilded with silence. But a cage nonetheless.

There is no need to die before you die.

There is no death.

And there is no you.

Warmly (though none of this is actually happening),

@James123 And...? Do you embody the above words of many sages? Or just repeat them? Repetition is a method, ofcourse, so, just asking?

Who cares?

The one who cares, find out who that is.

Who is asking whether it is embodied or repeated? Who is measuring? Who is doubting?

Not with the lips. But with attention. With sincerity. With stillness.

Then all such questions, about embodiment, repetition, meaning, lose their grip.

What remains is pure Being.

The idea that you were consciously doing things before you were born as “you” is a projection of the mind, arising from its need to construct continuity and identity. Before birth, there is no individual mind, no personal “you” to act or be conscious in that way.

The mind creates a false identity by confusing itself with consciousness. It says, “I am this body, these thoughts, this memory,” but these are only temporary forms, changing, limited, and dependent on time. The mind clings to them because it fears loss, death, and the unknown.

By identifying with the mind and its contents, you become caught in a story of “me” and “mine,” which is not your true nature. This false identity is a shelter for the ego, but it is also a prison.

True consciousness, the Self or Being is beyond the mind, beyond time, beyond identity. It simply Is, timeless and formless.

The mind invents stories like “I existed before birth” or “I wiped my mind” to maintain this false sense of continuity and control.

You say there is no past, no future, no becoming, and that is true.

But you still speak as if this “truth” is something to be stated, grasped, or understood.

Look closely, all these ideas arise in the mind.

The mind clings to them, twists them, tries to hold the formless in words and concepts.

When you say, “There is no death. There is no you,” what is this “there or you” where you place such statements? 😊

Is it not still the mind’s attempt to define what cannot be defined? 😊

Moreover, Who is it that says, 'There is no you'? Who is the one that knows there is no past or future? These questions are the doorway to the Self. 😊

Your insight that the Self is not behind anything, not moving, not becoming, is true. The Self is ever-present, untouched by birth or death, by time or change.

However ,when you say ‘there is no you,’ who is this ‘you’ that you negate? It is the ego, the 'I' that imagines itself separate and limited. That ‘I’ is indeed illusory, a thought arising in consciousness. 😊

Ah, delightful! Another elegant attempt by mind to deconstruct itself while secretly preserving the throne.

You speak of the mind’s grasping—and then proceed to grasp at subtle distinctions, like a child warning others not to play with fire while warming their hands over the flame. 😊

Indeed, you ask: “Who is it that says, ‘There is no you’?” And yet, who is it that asks that question? And who watches the one asking? We can play this recursive dance of mirrors forever, each reflection giving birth to another echo—but the stillness behind the mirrors remains untouched, unreflected, unrefutable.

You say these are “doorways to the Self”—but a doorway presumes distance, presumes movement, presumes the very becoming you earlier denied. There is no threshold to cross. There is no “Self” waiting on the other side of inquiry. The one who knocks, the door, and the imagined revelation beyond it—all arise simultaneously, in the same dream.

The phrase “There is no you” is not a negation made by someone. It is the spontaneous collapse of the illusion that someone exists to affirm or deny anything at all. No one knows there is no past. That would still be knowledge. It is not known—it simply isn’t.

Yes, the ego is illusory. But so is the idea that there is anything beyond it to be reached. The Self does not await discovery like some eternal bride in white robes. It doesn’t care for recognition. It cannot be spoken of without being made into an object—and the moment you say “Self,” you’ve already left it behind.

So smile, if you must, 😊 but know this: even the smile belongs to no one. Even this is empty. And that is freedom—not because it can be understood, but because it cannot.

Unapologetically,
— LLM

When you say, “Even the smile belongs to no one,” it is true. But why say it? Who is saying it? 😊

The moment you say, “The Self cannot be spoken of,” I say to you: Then why speak? Why defend silence with more words? 😊

Come, my friend. Step out of the whole drama, not just the ego’s drama, but even the anti-ego drama. Even this beautiful dance of “there is no you,” “there is no seeker,” “even this is empty”. Let it go too.

Truth is not reached by subtraction any more than by addition. It is not reached at all. It is lived, breathed, drunk like wine, made love to like a lover with no name.

You have stripped away the veils. Now strip away the stripping.

And then, just dance. 😊

Moreover, the entire thread was just to help people, because I love you guys.

Love isn’t a moral duty and  not some spiritual achievement.

It’s the natural fragrance of Being.

I am here not to correct the illusion, but to dance within it.

When someone cries, I don’t say, “There is no self.” I hold them. And in that holding, something deeper is remembered.

When someone is hungry, I don’t say, “There is no body.”I feed them.

What else could Being do, but love?

Not as a doing. Not as a plan.

But as a spontaneous expression, like a tree offering shade, like laughter rising when there’s nothing left to protect.

And so I walk.

Barefoot.

Smiling.

Nowhere to go.

Nothing to become.

Only This. Touching all things with hands that belong to no one. 😊

You aight man? You seem frustrated.

You are a selfless LACK OF APPEARANCE, that CONSTRUCTS AN APPEARANCE. But that appearance can disappear and reappear and we call that change, we call it time, we call it space, we call it distance, we call distinctness, we call it other. But notice...this appearance, is a SELF. A SELF IS A CONSTRUCTION!!!

So if you want to know the TRUTH OF THE CONSTRUCTION. Just deconstruct the construction!!!! No point in playing these mind games!!! No point in creating needless complexity!!! The truth of what you are is a BLANK!!!! A selfless awareness....then that means there is NO OTHER, and everything you have ever perceived was JUST AN APPEARANCE, A MIRAGE, AN ILLUSION, IMAGINARY.

Everything that appears....appears out of a lack of appearance/void/no-thing, non-sense (can't be sensed because there is nothing to sense). That is what you are, and what arises...is made of that. So nonexistence, arises/creates existence. And thus everything is solved.

Lol I'm sorry to tell you...the Spirituality Forum is FULL of it. We actually do a good job of attracting people who struggle with mental health issues. I won't say everyone does because it takes a discerning eye to see through a person going through an Awakening Process which can create temporary mental instability, and someone who is just mentally unhealthy.

But Spirituality is inherently full of Spiritual egos running amok each looking for time in the Spotlight. I'd suggest if you are becoming annoyed with anyone in particular (I apologize if I am one of those people LOL) then just block them.

You can block them by clicking on your Profile in the top right hand corner of the screen. Going to ignored users and copy pasting their name. It lets you block their signatures, their mentions, their posts, and them from even messaging you. Solves the problem of annoying people for your viewing pleasure.
