How hot are scars and healed injuries on men?

I want to make this topic because its not clear to me how male attractiveness is generally influenced by marks of physical injury. Given that a man is otherwise seen as attractive.

I always had the impression that scars can be seen as hot. But when does the scale tip? Because even a missing arm for example isn't an excluding factor for masculinity, dominance, confidence, humour ect. I wouldn't be surprised if some women would even find it hot to date a otherwise healthy, stable man, who survived physical injury and proved himself resilient. Thats just a thought though.

So whats the take on here?

Don't self-lacerate for women ahah.

This is more of a movie trope.

Scars are neutral. Women are not more likely to be attracted to a guy who has scars versus a guy who doesn't.

That said, if a woman is attracted to you... she will also likely find your scars interesting and attractive because she finds you interesting and attractive.

But women are not generally attracted to scars on a guy.

Some women might have a fetish for it but it is not a general marker.

I am a freak outlier I think.

I don't find scars hot, but I am attracted to them.

To me that is a story. That is lived experience. Something impactful another being went through, that might reveal something intimate about them.

I genuinely love intimacy, in any way, not just romantic.

So for myself - they are an attraction.

Deal with the issue now, on your terms, in your control. Or the issue will deal with you, in ways you won't appreciate, and cannot control.

Are you prepping for some risky stunt? One finds them attractive, another doesn't care, simple as that.

Yea, that mostly confirms what I thought. Just wanted to make sure.

I think when it starts looking disfiguring that scars become unattractive just purely from an aesthetic perspective. It is not really going to elevate you in terms of attraction otherwise but it can add some mystique perhaps.

Scars in media are typically signs of badassery. Like a scar that curves over the eye after fighting a dragon.

Come to think of it, the only aesthetic scars are small thin ones. I have a huge scar on my leg and it is just a mess of irregular blotches of scar tissue.
