How develop the mindset to permanently eat healthy food.

I watch videos and after a while I eat healthy but then I go back to unhealthy eating. What should I do to get more permeance in eating heathy.

You are what you eat as they say. Before you put something into your body consider the consequences.

Also just observe how you "feel " after eating different kinds of food . Don't you feel like shit after you eat candy..fast food..or drink Pepsi etc? And don't you feel amazing after eating healthy vegetable soup or fruit salad?

So write down how you feel after you eat (X). Then remind yourself next time you are eating something that this is how you gonna feel after you finish this dish .

"When you get very serious about truth you accept your life situation exactly as it is. So much so that you aren't childishly sitting around wishing it were otherwise. If you were confined to a wheelchair you would just accept it as how reality is. Just as you now just accept that you are not a bird who can fly."

Do you live on your own? Are you cooking for yourself?

Words can't describe You.

This. Awareness based practice being aware of how what makes you feel when you eat shit food is a gamechanger this is how I quit: dairy (caused me backpain) and gluten (kneepain) sugar (being aware of the craving loop and being opting out of putting yourself in the position of wanting more later)

Another method that really worked for me is associating the outcome directly with the food - eating the candy WILL give me chronic disease and cancer, so why would I choose to eat chronic disease and cancer? Buying food in plastic packaging and throwing it away - I WILL be drinking this back in my water later, and why would I want to drink plastic? Reassocaiting the consequence of your consumption with the consuming has broken a lot of chains for me and opened up space and drive for me eat as healthy as is possible.

Consider developing a deep enough mental model for healthy food that prevents you from even desiring unhealthy food.

Try deepening your understanding of metabolic pathways, epidemiological data, and other types of scientific evidence. As you develop a deeper conceptual model, use visualization to tie it to emotions and feelings, which will translate to sustainable behavior.

Are the types of videos you are watching "shallow" (in the sense they talk generally about 'healthy food' without going through the metabolic pathways and epidemiological data, weaving concepts in your mind)? Seek for deep content. Deeply understand the harm that altered, synthetic foods cause to our bodies (and even to our sons and grandsons, via genetic reprogramming lasting generations to come).

If open to it, you may deliberately tie your eating habits with a broader philisophy. E.g., vegetarianism or carnivorism. This will weave together otherwise separate facets of your worldview and deeply motivate you to keep patterns (of course, world views also come with costs/limitations). E.g.: "To live healthy is to honor our ancestors and descendants and all living beings on this planet."

Follow people and read books related to health. Surround yourself with people who live healthly.

In any case, the more content you consume the more healhy you will eat.

And remember: doing what's right is never wrong ;)

It's a matter of taking the right decision every time that you want to eat something. The fact that you made say 10 correct decisions, doesn't make 11th decision an automatic thing, you still have to decide the right thing again from scratch (or it might feel that way). It will get easier but not in few days. You'll know when it gets easier. You can't assume that it's easier before it actually does.

And additionally you can make it easier to by keeping the healthier food around, making it practical for you to eat healthy, working out which will create more motivation, in short having the right leverage that pushes you naturally towards where you want to go.

It's not so much a mindset as it is habits... trying to brute force control the limbic brain into different habits when it wants what it wants is the hard part... the best is to learn to sit with any craving, emotion, or sensation and mindfully observe without engaging in it and letting it overtake/control you... leo has a good older video on addiction that sums it up, the whole body sensation that occurs when you don't engage on a bad "habit" and thus the dopamine craving in the brain increases like a child who starts to scream and yell to try to get what it wants... if you give into the craving at this point you only make the addiction worse... you're better off just giving in early on, or not giving in at all... don't give in when you get an extreme urge... kind of explained a bit in this video but applied inward instead of at another person (child, partner, whatever).... learning to make decisions with the prefrontal cortex instead of the "emotions" like is so often touted by stage greens who say "emotions are the truth" (nonsense) is important.  You need to be your own strong parent to that inner child that screams for what it wants, that animal driven limbic brain. Keep in mind that simply thinking about the activity over and over and trying to "resist" thinking about it is basically the same as doing it.. ya gotta learn to just let stray thoughts and urges come and go like waves in the ocean...

He plugs his book from 4:30 to 5:10... you can skip that if you don't have an extension that does it like sponsorblock installed

@Sincerity it changes all the time, good thing you asked because I can see how that’s a difficulty in creating habit.

Buy all healthy food for the house and don't eat out for atleast 3mths. Take your healthy food with you if you have to. 3mths should set the pace. Don't overcomplicate it and don't beat yourself up if you slip.

What you know leaves what you don't know and what you don't know is all there is.

That's indeed a great idea. This will reset your paladar such that you will be disgusted to eat the crappy stuff they sell in restaurants. At least that's how it works for me now lol
