To think Sadhguru is a secretly evil man is the ultimate paranoid fantasy. To try to read into that based on 10 second clips is exactly the kind of traps that QAnon and MAGA conspiritard people fall into.

Who knows, maybe your intuition is not so sharp sometimes. Just a possibility

Maybe me and the op have seen more than 10 seconds of sadhguru. Just a possibility.

I still think you're paranoid.

Sure you are right, a sect leader who's not true and honest? That's an impossibility

I just think it's interesting that on a topic where the OP exclaims an absolutistic and misplaced notion of "you cannot be oriented towards truth and live in the world at the same time", this distrust of spiritual figures with a wordly orientation "coincidentally" arises.

I have listened to Sadhguru enough and my conclusion is that he is a lying scammer, like many others. You should admit the possibility

What's your one killshot example of him being a lying scammer?

When he says that people who go to his ashram reach enlightenment in a week thanks to his divine presence, or that he knows the 84 realities, their previous lives, he can protect you from demons that parasitize you and prevent you from enlightenment, he wears copper rings on his ankles so as not to disintegrate, his wife of 30 years with a 5 year old daughter did mashamadi but burned the corpse before the autopsy, he is a fan of Devendra Modi, and a complete liar and con man, you can tell from the way he speaks, from what he says. All lies.

There's a bit of everything and I did spot a "lid" on the way Sadhguru interacts with the world:
The way spoken, a deliberate engagement with subtle energies (OBEs, spirits, incarnations)
and simultaneously messages of blatant defeatist surrender.

Depending on the video and timeline, displaying high standing,
yet also lowly complaints over control previously dismissed as inevitable nature.
Focusing and cherry picking insights based on states of consciousness and climate.
But that's natural when you're trying to uplift and consecrate the entire world of varying minds.

Only started noticing dissonance recently when I went very deeply into accelerationism and immateriality.

@Carl-Richard Mmm no, I'm not saying that. I'm saying that meanwhile he has offered good stuff he is not completely purified, he is playing and has played "the game" to his benefit.

What I did which was following him quite close for 3-4 years and when I saw his devilry I ditched him.

I Still do the Yoga he taughts and several lifestyle advices such as food choices, supplements and other niche stuff I learned from his courses and books which I have verified they actually work.

I guess the whole thing about learning from someone supposedly "above you" is that you have to eat lots of shit from them and swallow your ego, until you are in the same ladder step, then you can ditch them and regain your ego but in a new level of consciousness and understanding.

Nobody helps you climb the stairs for free, that´s what I want to say. They want something in return. He is not a saint.

about learning

Maybe this is the main problem?

He says he's something he isn't. There are no small lies; there's either truth or lies. There's no middle ground. The truth must be total, without the slightest flaw; otherwise, it's a lie.

There are some practical things in life that are outside morality or spirituality yet they can aid you.

For example he stresses the importance sitting on the floor and having a body that is able to feel comfortable like that, being in touch with the soil/grass VS sitting on a reclined chair, the effects of certain foods on your consciousness... Etc.

These are things that work independent if the person is bad or good. And that will aid you in being more time in higher energy states.

@Breakingthewall At the same time he wants to sell you that he is the enlightened guru that will save you and promise you liberation, like a religion does. This is the main lie and how he has gathered such following, But it doesn't make untrue some practical knowledge he has.

It's very basic, yoga, be aligned with yourself, free energy, not contracted. Everyone knows that this is better, the question is how to get it. Doing Isha stuff, no. It's just yoga, not magic. Yoga is ok, close my house there are a lot of yoga schools

He doesn´t care having as many slaves as possible, because you are a blissful devoted slave, for him is Ok 🤣 The lie is not so bad, makes him successful and shine, and you are surfing the karmic thing blissfully thanks to him. 😂 You have to laugh if not is very disturbed if you think about it

You definitely could.

Why is this a scam and a lie?

You don't need to perform an autopsy if a doctor certifies that the cause of death was natural. In general, autopsy rates are around 5-20% depending on the country.

I assume "fan" means "friend". You can't be friends with the head of state when you're among India's most influential people? Again, more "you can't live in the world or be strategic or use your brain when you care about truth".

Because anyone who says that he has the power to enlightened you is a liar. Maybe you didn't realize, but a lot of people is, let's say, not totally honest . They lie for many reasons, to get things. To being worshipped for example. They do that because they feels empty and needs to fill a hole, they eat energy, like vampires . They use to be smart enough to appear as honest, wonderful people
