I have an okay social life, I host events regularly so I know a lot of people but I want to put more effort to create an active business community where I live.

I don't think I have an addiction though because I've quit it before intentionally for productivity periods. I did 75 days last year of no fap, no alcohol and no weed and wasn't particularly hard. Afterwards I started again because I didn't notice that much of a difference and just wanted to test my willpower mostly. I'm not convinced my life would be better off if I quit smoking entirely but there are a few subtle things that do bother me like compulsive behaviour for one I don't like the feeling of anxiety I get when I run out of weed it proves my weakness.

If you are an avid user you may end up slow and retarded, weed can sort of deaden your dopamine receptors and the joy of life as well. Also there's a decent chance that you may end up developing schizophrenia, you never know if you are genetically predisposed to it or not

Im just going to keep pursing awakening and if/when I permanently stop smoking will be effortless because there won't be a self to be addicted.

The more I deepen my awakening the less it effects me.

This is more due to the modern strains which have their chemical balance completely blown out of natural proportions and CBD no longer present. Modern strains are bread for high THC and Strength and not valued as much for overall chemical complexity and medicinal richness.

Ancient strains have far less THC, more CBD and much more balanced chemical profile which gives the user a rich and spiritual experience, less likely addictive and less likely to cause other imbalances. Of course too much of anything is bad.

I consumed weed all my life but I noticed a huge difference from naturally grown heirloom and landrace strains to street weed. Almost completely different high and experience. This is why i say, if you wanna smoke it, grow it yourself, outdoors, organically, the process itself is very teaching.

I have this same philosophy for all medicines. Its too easy to just buy them, no do the work, it pays off. Then you've really earned it and you will discover you may just no longer need it, or at least nowhere near as much anymore.

Its about the journey not the destination :)

If you say so. I don't really see much of a difference between them, and I can imagine very vividly how easy it would be for anyone to use it as a cope or a crutch. I could care less though, I don't care as much about spirituality to inhale anything more than air into my lungs; as if life wasn't sufficiently shit already, you'll add a mind numbing addiction on top of it, no thanks

That's your experience and perception but sure. There's far more too it. I'm sorry you have had a poor experience and relationship with this medicine.

For me its saved my life from suicide and violence, gangs, many times. And sure there have been quite a few times when Ive abused it and experienced negatives. Its all about the intention, how you carry yourself, how you use and see the medicine, and how its grown. Let me ask you this, have you grown your own cannabis organically / naturally from a heirloom strain and done this process yourself? Or you just making statements?

This is not about spiritually, its all a part of life. People sometimes need medicine for support when nothing else helps. Let me also ask you this, do you drink coffee, eat sugar, processed foods, junk foods, alcohol or any other substances? If so then there's a contradiction there in itself.

I see it all the time, people beat on one thing because they had poor experience or lack of proper education with it, and label it bad, and yet they are addicts and abusers in other ways, often even worse, but because they believe these things are natural because they been normalized, when in fact act like bad drugs to our bodies. I could even go into porn and social media and screen addiction, but the point has been made.

You get the idea...
