No One Can Hurt You Without Your Permission (Mentally)

26 posts in this topic

This thread will demonstrate for itself what I'm trying to relate in the OP. There will be different responses, different meanings applied, different interpretations, which is already happening, and different feelings felt that will align with the responses given. Did I generate those feelings in each and every one of those individuals with those feelings related to the responses. There is one thread starter with many different responses and comments and the thread will evoke many different feelings in each person. Some may get upset, some may agree, some may be neutral, some angry, some understanding.....whatever. Each will be a result of how the thread was interpreted.

What you know leaves what you don't know and what you don't know is all there is.

Except ignorance exists. It's easy to go meta when your life is easy, when you're healthy, when you're rested and well-fed, when things are going mostly how you like them to go; when your mind is functioning and your heart is beating at a slow pace. It's not easy to go meta if you haven't slept for days, haven't eaten, you're working 16 hours a day, you don't like the work you're doing and you think it's not going to work out. And let's not talk about living in a warzone and the immense destabilizing and devitalizing effect it has on your psyche and how limited your scope of concern becomes when it's literally about life or death and constant threat of death.

Pain is what I need to avoid. Pleasure is what I need to allow.

If I don't avoid the one and allow the other, I am the one to blame for all that comes my way.

I will take the pain on the chin until I learn this.

To learn it means I have taken responsibility for it and over time I reprogram myself that it have no effect.

When there is pain due to illness or mishap or age, these I can't avoid

but seeing this I can abide in peace without discomfort knowing that all is as should be.
