@Javfly33 I think we fundamentally view these techniques through different lenses.

I am aware of a lot here because I work in the space.

I am a certified Qigong teacher because I was willing to study under my teacher and learn his techniques. I do the same over at Yogalap learning Pranayama and I will do that as long as I learn.

But, it's false to say there is a brick wall separating techniques.

Realistically a pranayama session is about 30 minutes to an hour. Then, you can do a style of Qigong to work different aspects of the body. Then, maybe Hatha/ Ashtanga Yoga to strengthen and stretch more deeply. Then, maybe meditate to calm, center and integrate the whole session. It's really up to you.

We want to breath, stretch, let go of stress and anxiety, and cultivate a high quality abundance of energy, joy, calm, etc...

@Javfly33 I appreciate your perspective.

But, I also invite you to open up a bit and see how an integral approach to these schools could be beneficial.

To develop a robust mind-body fitness requires not just doing the same workout everyday. But, integrating different ones. I don't use a hammer to screw in screws.

@Thought Art how long does qigong take for a kundalini-awakened individual to feel the effects? Where should I start as a beginner? Can you send me a link to your YouTube channel?

The mind doesn't like to do long tasks, It wants the quick and easy way. Its why people prefer steroids than training naturally for 10 years to get good results. You can get good results in two years with steroids, but you will suffer the consequences when you stop. Psychedelics can be similar.

The downside is the (side-effects) on your body and soul, and results are often temporary, unless you integrate well and apply the realizations in day to day life, but even then there's a limit to how much you can harness based on your own spiritual foundations and the level of truth you have tapped into naturally, and when you stop training or using such substances, you will most likely be a mess until you stabilize your nervous system again. Its not really designed for such drugs. They are more for emergency situations.

In the gym analogy, say you take the natural approach, you won't only build muscle, but strength and bone-density, raw power, experience and wisdom, this sticks for life and even when you stop training you won't have to deal with the side effects of a drug mimicking all of that.

Of course psychedelics are not exactly the same as this, they can be beneficial if used wisely, however they do have some similarities.

Ultimately, there are no shortcuts to enlightenment, period. Psychedelics can only (show you the way), you must walk the walk.

Eventually you need to learn to tap-in/tune-in and see for yourself, or then you always rely on the drug and never truly master yourself. Something or someone else will always be your master, thus no true liberation of spirit. Similar to these modern sad guru's who people rely on to know themselves, yet all they are fed is knowledge and rather than Knowing Thyself, seeing past the teacher.

And even the "kriya yoga" can become a trap, its more about staying consistent in spiritual attunement and devotion to truth.

The (middle way) is always the best way that will provide the (foundational support) to carry a higher and (stable) spiritual energy.

Think of a big tree with big roots, eventually that tree will produce great big and ripe delicious fruit (knowledge / wisdom).

If you overstimulate its nervous-system too much, you may end up severely stunting its growth and expansion.

Hope this helps :)
