You could end up shooting up ozempic with a bunch of hot MILFS at their house, referring to it as "drugs."

Lol, I just watched that episode 😁

But seriously my stomach is hard because I train but there's fat over it. I'm sure if I got on it I'd have a Sixpack.

I have seen multiple patients on Ozempic and the results are pretty insane.
People who have struggled with their weight for years are suddenly able to lose weight and actually keep it off.

Most side effects are mild - from my experinve, mostly slight stomach issues like nausea.
Multiple studies have shown a very benign side effect profiles as well.

That said, it's a pharmaceutical drug you need to keep talking for results.
I think most people working in the medical field would agree that there is a certain group of patients who, for complex biopsychosocial reasons, are just not able to lose weight - and for that group, such drug is literally a miracle-cure.

That said, nothing will ever beat the benefits of a persistent lifestyle change - meaning losing weight through diet & exercise.
This should always be the #1 goal for every obese patient.
However, it's always nice to know that you have the wonder-drug in the background.

@undeather but don't you think that if you took it for 2 months or more your mind and body would get into the habit of eating less automatically?

So then instead of a last resort it's more like a kickstart.

If you stop the medication, your baseline feeling of satiety will return.
So if you keep eating those small food-portions, you will experience severe sensations of hunger - and most people won't bare that for long.

There are is small subset of patients who seem to keep the weight off, even after stopping the drug.
But this usually always coincides with extreme lifestyle-changes. I wouldn't bet on it. Losing weight on Ozempic is different than using weight with changing someones diet-pattern & exercise.

Yes, it works, but it's not all sunshine. I lost weight fast, but my digestion never went back to normal. Some weeks I felt like food just sat in my stomach for hours, and then I'd be backed up or the complete opposite. I didn't connect it at first until I came across news about lawsuits being filed.

The Ozempic lawsuit talks about stomach paralysis, bowel blockages, and other side effects that sounded a little too familiar to me. So while I can't say don't use it, I'd say be very cautious and talk to your doctor about risks beyond just the usual "nausea" they mention

Isn't there also quite a lot of muscle wastage associated?

Like any drugs there are drawbacks - if the pros outweigh the cons go for it.

Personally, I dislike being dependent on any sort of extrinsic substance (aside from food, water, air). So knowing the effects only last for as long as you are on the drug makes it a huge drawback.

I've never had a problem ignoring hunger - but I understand it also assists with psychological 'food noise'.

Deal with the issue now, on your terms, in your control. Or the issue will deal with you, in ways you won't appreciate, and cannot control.

Why not just eat just fruit and vegetables for a week or two, you will lose weight naturally and return to your natural energized self.

Or simply stop eating and fast on water for a week, you will lose 10 - 20+ lbs easy.

Everyone's looking for a magic pill but no one wants to do the work.

It's very overpriced. Just eat less.

You are basically paying $1000/mo to a company so that you eat less.

Lolz, what a scam!

But people are such animals they need it.
