  1. 3) Is there a spoon? a) Yes b) No c) Both d) We can't know
  2. @Pouya Spirituality is centered around being, not chasing. You do all do the doing to learn to flow with life.
  3. Question the questioning itself. Why are you doing this? Why do you want oneness? Are you running away from duality instead of embracing non-duality? Research paths which are more heart-centered rather than mind-centered if you haven't already.
  4. True Love is the lack of projection and disturbances. The egoic form of Love arises when you find Purity in something that doesn't challange your beliefs and resistance and that's exactly what the ego wants. Love = Consciousness = God
  5. Why did you quote me then and what is your critique of this post?
  6. @Solace What I was lacking is to connect non-duality with the concept of connection. Thank you so much, you described my experience with Love really well ♥
  7. This wasn't my true attempt to do so. What makes you qualified to ask this question over and over again though? Not hatin', just looking for an answer.
  8. @Solace Maybe this deserves it's own thread but what you think about Teal Swan's perspective then? She says that the belief that all that one needs is within is total bullshit and that staying connected to others - aka not being alone - is the number one desire of a human being. To her, this belief is the ego's attempt to stay empowered and independent while denying its own ability to provide everything for itself.
  9. @Gabriel Antonio A masochist in attached to feeling pain and resist not feeling it. To the experienced meditator, it doesn't matter whether they experience pain or not.
  10. @Strikr Assuming you don't control anything, you don't control whether you have the motivation to get up in the morning, you don't control your emotions nor your mind. You feeling a bit depressed is inevitable then, it's not your choice, there is nothing to do about it. It's a cosmic play. Btw, have you ever chose to fall in love? Have you ever chose to have a fear? Have you chose to read this? What makes you believe that you ever had control or that you never had it in the first place?
  11. Not knowing is true knowledge. And Simplicity / Essence = Truth / God which spirituality goes after.
  12. Also, try this if you feel that your traumas are being triggered: Meditation and working with the emotional body are also great tools. Also, research Byron Katie's Work (@How to be wise
  13. I have been experimenting with this process lately, especially while working on different aspects of myself - where it is really effective. Teal Swan heavily inspired the first step but the second step squeezes a bit more information out of the specific thought. This works with any thought but works especially well with recurring thoughts and mental images - it also works for deep desires you may have by imagining them first: Modify the thought in such a way that it makes the most amount of Resistance arise and get in touch with this thought. Teal called it "imagining the opposite". We think because of our Resistance to reality - by thinking about something we create a safe zone for ourselves in one way or another. With this step, we can intuitively feel what is this thought making us avoid. After you feel like there is nothing to gain from being with the opposite, come back the original thought and observe your relief. It may seem like an unnecessary step but you go both ways this way. This may help you clarify what you discovered while you were getting in touch with the opposite. Try experimenting with this and let me know what you think.
  14. @Hellspeed @Jack River IME The root of thinking is Resistance.
  15. @lmfao I have a ton of experience with this and experimented with different approaches. Letting these come will make the Resistance out but won't give a clue where these come from. Try forcing yourself not to move and feel into it. I have gone on "inner journeys" from these and more than likely you will understand what is surfacing. Also, do research on kriyas.
  16. *reads the title without noticing the topic starter* *hmm sure @Joseph Maynor is going to be the first to answer with an essay about this* *notices that he started the topic and that he can't decide* Me: @Shin ??? My answer is Yellow because being able to entertain multiple perspectives makes you truly nuanced. Every Tier I stage has an ideology and is not completely open - although going up the spiral makes you "loosen up" more and more so there is no clear way to decide.
  17. Trying to get rid of the thought of there is something wrong with you is itself reinforcing that belief. Other than that, shadow work and Self-Love.
  18. What is illusory or a thought, yet how these relative things are absolute and how is reality a giant Mind.
  19. Look up a list of Yin traits. See which of these you have yourself as you must have them to survive (Yang can't survive without Yin and vice versa) and see which you judge or even repress - and go and integrate them. You can do the following exercise using femininity in general or specific Yin traits:
  20. Contemplate what spirituality and spirtual is. "True spirituality" is a stage of development so you can't judge someone for not doing it. If someone thinks becoming a billionaire will make them happy, you can't force them to sit on a cushion for 4 hours. Why do you care about others' paths? Also, check my current signature
  21. Learn to love yourself and others, brother! Accept parts of yourself which are covered in shame now and thus you will love those aspects in others. Why do you want to bring others down? Is it a lack of sympathy in your life you are experiencing?
