If you are a desperate and anti-social person, dating advice is great and can boost your confidence buy a large amount, don't get me wrong. But in the end - if you care about consciousness and shadow work - there will still be the authentic you and the you who is using tricks, lines, ways of touching, and compliments which feel unauthentic to you. The you that attracted your partner isn't the person you actually are. You are putting up a facade and you are hiding the person who was desperate to be in a romantic relationship in the first place. You aren't the person who is in the relationship - your fake confident self is. Dating advice shouldn't tell you what characteristics you should have; it should tell you how to become the person who authentically embodies these characteristics. In the end, the best thing to do is to be authentic! It's for your highest good - if your partner doesn't want the real you, it isn't meant to be.

I have been in the same boat as you. The exercise that made me burn that boat was this one. This is the simplest and most effective technique for finding your passion I have ever found. IME You can't control the mind. The only thing that makes you think that you can control the mind is identifying with it. If you observe it for long enough, you will see that it has a life of its own.

Your nature is both Light and Dark. Being a devil just means that you are still an ego but the density of that ego may vary a TON so being a devil is not black and white. Resisting the Devil is just perpetuating the Devil. If you start to Love the Devil, it will start to dissolve. Also, wait for the response that the Devil is actually God

@Leo Gura When I referred to open-mindedness, I didn't (only) refer to you. I am not saying that skepticism and non-duality can't give an existential level of certainty - I actually think the opposite is true. However, for those of us further away from comprehending non-duality a healthy dose of open-mindedness and skepticism of our own ideas in necessary. Non-duality and skepticism turned into a dogma isn't true non-duality and skepticism - which is why I allowed @egoless to open my mind to the possibility duality and Christianity being true but not allowing it to become a dogma. Until we have done our research, we don't know who or what to trust - as you said, not even you. The only thing I tried to say with "@egoless's ban is unjustified" is that it retards our growth if we know how to handle other perspectives which I assume most of us can. I support the idea of a speculative sub-forum.

Even though these events have been mentioned and discussed by multiple people (including @Source_Mystic, @Leo-Tzu, and @Joseph Maynor), I think it deserves its place to be discussed by everybody. The following recent responses felt out of place and almost dictatorial by many people: Banning @egoless This was Leo's response before he locked the thread after @egoless shared the (born-again) Christian perspective on pantheism and non-duality. This really felt like declaring that this forum is a zone of non-duality only - even if it's just an ideology - which goes against radical open-mindedness which Leo is advocating ad nauseam. Even though @egoless called Leo "intellectually arrogant" and "deception himself", his ban isn't justified by "spouting off [...] falsehood under the banner of free speech". "Is the godhead weaking up?" Locking this thread because of "mental masturbation" isn't something I have ever seen. There are a ton of threads where people are building theories but they aren't closed (except this one yet again). This is by no means a personal attack on @cetus56 (or by extension any people "antagonized" in this thread) - this is just something alot of us are confused by. A warning from @Source_Mystic Even though the thread is aggressive, questioning any authority of Truth is a thing any being who wants people to awaken would encourage. He makes some of Leo's "cons" clear and points out the things I have pointed out in this thread. @Source_Mystic, feel free to join this conversation in a more peaceful manner. Thank you. By no means, I am saying "we deserve a justification". I just wanted to create a space where people's opinions can be expressed about these "issues". Feel free to lock this "mental masturbatory" thread if you wish.

@Leo Gura and anyone who can answer these (I haven't watched the full video yet): When I looked at my hand, I saw it's non-existence more its existence - I saw it in a way which I haven't before; who's to decide observation is the "actual" one? Am I deluding myself? Aren't the statements "What you observe is actual" and "This is my hand" concepts and imagination? If I can observe my thoughts, aren't they actual? Isn't trusting the feeling of realness just concept and imagination? Won't 99% of people use this as an excuse to take their mind and beliefs to be torturers not worthy of Love? Maybe supposed to help newbies more but I have made this distinction already.

Stop right there. Spiritual development is a process, alot of issues may "come back" because of it. Judging something as wrong will do nothing but trigger shame and repress this aspect of yourself. There is nothing wrong about trying to please people - it is part of your journey There is nothing wrong with falling down the happiness spectrum - it is there to give you experience There is nothing wrong about chasing beauty or not chasing beauty - it is acting on your best interests The only question is and all that growing entails: Learn to embrace and not reject. By no means am I saying that you should learn to do it - I would be a hypocrite - but try it and see if it is for your best interest or not.

Address your underlying beliefs, don't get bossed around by them. The only requirement for spirituality is having access to Truth / God. Everything else is just a tool for that.

Enquire into the nature of these things - contemplate the questions I asked you first seriously.
