@Schizophonia My man, you twist my words and know nothing of neuroscience. My proposition is to not use scientific jargon when we are not a person equipped to do so. It's a nice sounding cliche, meme, but in the end adds nothing, you sharing your experience without that neuroscience-tidbit has been enough and just perfect. Of course, as a free human being you are free to do with this advice whatever you like. It's not a message to you individually as many people write in that way.

@Schizophonia My man, you are bringing in ungrounded scientific talk into the conversation that needs none of it.

I would beware of any neurological explanation of phenomena from people who lack formal neuroscience education. I believe your experience. I think the dopamine-related explanation is dubious and recommend everyone reading this post to avoid falling into this trap of looking for sciencey explanations for every personal experience. Placebo is very possible in your case. Read what it means. Placebo is a real tangible effect happening, but without an apparent mechanistic cause. The whole problem with placebo is that it works. Your single case can say nothing about whether it's a placebo effect or not. Your benefits of not listening music are true, though, no doubt here.
-
Very improbable for music to be a reason of any of your problems. That's a red herring. Find a courage to face your real problems and challenges to solve.

"No boundary" was a my first read and I think it's the easiest one. Wilber is not the most accessible writer, although it helps he repeats himself a lot so you have more occasions to grasp what he has meant.

This is not the most accurate simulation for sure. I have seen better.

@Schizophonia the mesh hack =/= RDA. You need to say you are talking about the emesh method.
-
@Schizophonia What do you mean? RDAs are for liquid.

@thierry if you have time to listen to Peterson, then you have more than enough time to read a good book like "The Listening Society". Hanzi also has a response to Peterson's 12 rules for life book, called 12 commandments. -

@thierry that's why should study the Wilber's Integral Theory, or Hanzi Freinacht's "The Listening Society" book. All your missing puzzles are there, the answer to questions like how can Peterson can be lower than stage Green teenagers? He is and he isn't, different areas of devlopment. Spiral Dynamics only tells you about VALUES, that is goals people set. -

Great. The trifecta of youtube personalities I give completely zero fucks about. And I don't think anyone should. It's normal to sometimes indulge in low quality stuff, but with so many quality sources at your fingertips, why would anyone consciously waste their breath listening to Friedman? Not to mention the other guys. -
If you believe that then you must think that Israel is either very weak or you are okay with it abusing its power, because it's the role of the stronger party to take responsibility. But then why are you so dead on not calling abuse 'an abuse'? You can't ask people who get partially cut out from the world, segregated as second class people, not even citizens, to take equal part in responsibility. Yes you can overpower and abuse people, nothing in the universe will stop you from that by default. But then don't cry when that backlashes and other people voice their disdain towards you. I understand Israel's actions, yet have no sympathy towards them.
-
So you can clearly see how approach chosen by Israel is going to get things worse in the end by radicalizing the other side.

Americans are so stupid sometimes. This is totally a cultural thing, not a law of nature. At least if you have had based units of height like centimeteres, but the US population obsesses about some absurd feet qnd inches.

@Squeekytoy Duality has nothing to base itself in. Constant torment is as good starting out point for the middle of a spectrum as constant bliss. There's no constant middle frankly. You could fall deeper and deeper into despair until you snap back, or you don't and you keep falling. Elaborate on your philosophical argument if you disagree, please. -
@Davino Ken Wilber is a philosopher thinking about 'awake' topics, yes. He's my favorite. Leo wiuld be favorite if he had released any new video content

Most people cannot fucking compute how someone can be an idealist. But that's because they haven't put serious thought into it like ever in their lives. Though, if someone had put serious thought and started to identify as a materialist reductionist or physicalist, I have a ten feet long pole to distance myself from such people. -
The last roast on Earth I want to hear is from that moron TechLead.

Girzo replied to UpperMaster's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@UpperMaster I went for hardcore spirituality first, and then backed out, side effects were too much, both on body and on mind. If I were you, I would have focused on building marketable skills in the area you want to pursue your passion in. Listen to interviews with bands, musicians, but also their managers and stuff. Maybe read a few biographies. Career goes first. Most importantly, train the skills you want to master everyday. And find yourself a supportive girlfriend, that's a good idea. -

Does anyone also feel like 80% of the forum lately is weirdo postings? Was it always like this? I feel like I haven't needed to block that many users in years. The forum is otherwise unreadable. -
If you somehow were able to get a prescription medicine that contains Ondansetron, that would be ideal.

@Fluran You should learn basics of chemistry because such experiment is worthless. The test kits only give you an idea of what group of substance you have based on color of the reaction. Can't tell you purity level, can only tell you if the dealer has done a mix up of substances or adulterated the substance with a radically different substance, like for example amphetamine. Also, even very professional tests on proper machines won't tell you if you have gotten some plastic from a plastic container in your substance, as they would need to look for it specifically to find it. Although, it will look degraded well, well before it really degrades. Even freebase is resilient and mainly changes only how it looks. Air and sunlight is the worst thing that can happen, other than exposing it to it at the same time, it should be perfectly ok for a year or two. Perfectly.

Medically, nothing happened. You didn't 'break' anything, but LSD is a strong potenciator of placebo. You have talked your organism into a negative reaction. Placebo can go into both directions, make you feel better or worse.

@Hello from Russia The guys who say that are themselves deep in Blue or Orange values. They don't like Green girls because they are not Green themselves.
