@Chakra Lion Do you want to lose her? If not, best muster up some hot sex and quick, before she finds it somewhere else.

You quoted me....then wrote the comment above ^^^
When did I say otherwise?

Advaita Vedanta teachers.
But, again, believe what you want.

I totally agree. It sounds like pure torture to live with them.

And therefore can not do Self- inquiry and realize their true nature, which is my point actually.

Animals accept reality as it is, they dont worry and feel incomplete, leading to chasing objects like humans with an intellect do.
But, believe what you'd like.

Also, "animals are not plagued by the usual thought/emotional patterns that limit humans: guilt, shame, regret, lack of self-esteem, to name a few. Animals have no power to analyze or think other than in terms of their desires. Therefore animals do not interpret their environment; they do not evaluate the things that happen to them, in them and around them. Animals act purely by “instinct" "

Ok, let's even look at the human baby. There is no ego at birth. Its developed. There's a change in the eyes of a child when ego takes hold...
Animals simply don't develop anything more than a simplistic rudimentary sense of self for survival and in that sense I would call them "programs". A dog behaves like a dog, cat behaves like a cat, etc.

@Nivsch They don't have an ego aka they aren't body/mind "identified" with being a cat, dog, whatever.

1st) A true willingness to let the depression go. It becomes an identity we sorta cling to as soon as we become some what unhappy.
2nd) A willingness to do whatever it takes to rid yourself of the depression. Even if it includes temporary talk therapy, medication, yoga, whatever.
3rd) Seek out this help and stick with it!
I speak from experience, so not lecturing you.❤

You should talk to him about it if your concerned. Ppl do hurt themselves, it happens. Usually ppl say they had no clue and wish they could've done something, but often its too late. Cries for help happen when the person still wants help, so if you are getting a bad vibe...listen to it. If your wrong, so what. I'd rather be wrong, than do nothing if your right, right?

Studying in college and now with home care charting. I sometimes like to do it at diner-type restaurants and fast food joints. The soda keeps flowing and I like just a bit of background noise.?

I am the wisest human alive, for I know one thing, and that is that I know nothing.

Well, its just an interview at this point and this opportunity has come to you for some reason, even if its for you to get very clear what it is you really do want ...and don't want. So, if you decide not to go on the interview make sure you won't regret that decision. I personally would go and just see what happens. If the job is offered to you, you could request to shadow the position for a day to see what its actually about. I recently did this myself.
Btw, what field are you in, may I ask?
