  1. Leader of Alt right faction of trump's 2016 winning team, Steve Bannon got arrested today for Frauding donors. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/aug/20/steve-bannon-arrested-charged-fraud-we-build-the-wall?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other
  2. @Jennjenn why do you think so?
  3. I have seen one and a half episode, one about tantric sex and other is about ayahuasca. It shows how a guru sexually exploited many women in the name of tantra. It also shows healthy and unhealthy aspects of wellness industry in general. In other word, it is a show about healthy and unhealthy aspects of stage green.
  4. @Marta Puig Borras i think holistic schools are costly because a) they are hard to be found and b) they may give attention to each student individually and developing their curriculum. Also, the more it becomes common like other schools, the more it will get cheaper because then it will get adequate government funding. It's like organic foods. They are good for health, at the same time it will cost you extra.
  5. Reality is always hard affairs. There are ups and downs. There are sweet things and sour things. One comes after another.
  6. @tuckerwphotography i don't want trump to be reelected for four more years. But look at what dem establishment is doing. They are pushing the left out of the discussion. More or less 40% of the democratic base is the left and yet the establishment doing nothing to appeal young, black and latino progressive voters as if they don't need them. They think they need a "winning coalition" yet they don't want to include progressive base in the process. One reason behind that might be they don't want to make compromise in their neoliberal agenda, which they inevitably have to do if they wanna appeal left vote. They are not doing that/not doing enough. This may cost them the election.
  7. I almost view both of these shows regularly. I believe they both bring new and fresh perspectives on the table that we don't often see being discussed in the mainstream media. However, I think the both show comes with some pitfall. Firstly, in the present situation, I think everyone in the left should rally behind biden-harris to defeat trump. That should be the number one agenda. But i am very disappointed to see krystal and kyle kulinski, both prominent progressives are mostly busy bashing biden everyday, which i think very naive thing to do given the situation right now america in. Yes, biden is a neoliberal and had done a lot of bad/evil things. But surely he will be a much more better president than trump. So instead of acknowledging that point, these shows are going against biden while doing a disservice the cause of removing trump from office. Secondly, i think these two shows also perpetuate victim mentality. They always like to talk about how the system is rigged against them, how they are pushed aside in the democratic party, how this and that was done wrong to them etc. Though there are some truth in it, i think this victim mentality will do no good to the progressives. I mean, come on dude, do you expect your opponent to give you red carpet welcome in the political arena? That is not gonna happen because politics is all about survival and its very tricky. No one is gonna hand over you anything. You have to earn it by yourself. Lastly, Even if bernie had won the nomination and went on to become president, it would have definitely become bloody. I bet bernie would have faced vehement opposition from congress, senate, supreme court and mainstream media. Most of his progressive policies wouldn't have passed anyway. To have progressive holding firm power, they have to win more seats in state elections, gubernatorial elections, congress and senate elections. Then a progressive president would have the power to push forward his/her progressive agendas. so the approach should be to go for winning from bottom to top, not top to bottom. I believe in the next 20-30 years, the progressive base will become more strong and eventually will be able to have a bigger share in power. But now, these progressive shows must show some maturity, abandon their victim mentality and start focusing on grassroot campaigning. In other word, instead of being myopic, the left must prepare themselves for a much longer political fight in the future.
  8. It think its potential customers are from developed countries. I am from a developing country and the price of apple products are simply too much to afford for most of the people here.
  9. @Keyhole I am from south asia. I am not black, you can say that i am brown. I wonder why the american south still hold grudges against african-american people. I mean, civil war happened more than 150 years ago. So why do the hold archaic belief?
  10. @Leo Gura just out of curiosity, are americans as much as racist to asian people like they are with african americans? * I am an asian, that is why asking.
  11. @Leo Gura this statement makes me wonder how much racist and ignorant most americans still are.
  12. @Leo Gura i think progressives can take small steps at a time. For example, in 10 years, eyeing for electing 50 progressive us house of representatives, 5-10 progressive senators, 5 progressive governor would be a good progress.
  13. @Leo Gura maybe he wants to appeal audience across all ideological line.
  14. This movie shows the life of stage Purple people. It was directed by Mel Gibson.
  15. @Husseinisdoingfine First one is English and Third one is Bengali. Don't know about the middle one.
  16. @Forestluv it's true that AOC can be a good leader, she has the charisma. But i think the progressive left has lot more to show, i think we will see more progressives getting elected in congress and senate in the upcoming future. And any other person can emerge as a Leader then. I don't agree that AOC is gonna run in 2024. I think she will take her time before making that jump. Maybe in 2028 or 2032.
  17. @Kailash Bhattarai i think you are going to see a progressive president in 20-30 years. Who it will be - i don't know.
  18. @Leo Gura what the american south is so notoriously racist? Haven't the learned to be gentle and more conscious specially after losing in the civil war?
  19. @Call Me Whatever that's part of bringing something new. The world is evolving, so it can not evolve without bringing new problems. That does not mean it's bad. Ofcourse, people will resist. But then again, evolution will happen no matter what.
  20. @Call Me Whatever what do you mean by "what's going on in the US"??
  21. @Leo Gura have you watched GoT? I thought you are not a fan of binge watching
  22. @Leo Gura i have watched it earlier. If you look at Fred's face in the documentary, you will understand what Mary Trump said can be true.
  23. @Leo Gura i kinda agree with you. I saw his father Fred in the documentary and he seemed like an evil person with terrifying look. Also, when trump about to start his business, New York was near to a shithole. The city was near broke, basically looked like a city of third world country, and they had an average of 3000 homicide per year!!! I think the environment was ideal for stage red to flourish.
