Nahm replied to Monkey-man's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Ether On and off will result in a little bit. ? First thing, every morning, build to 30 minutes. I’d start with stomach breathe focused med as a broad shot, then try each med and find what works for you best, read, contemplate, let go. Then pick something to start doing or stop doing. After a couple months, pick something in addition. Meditation will allow the awareness, you’ll become more aware. If you were (extreme example) smoking cigarettes, more awareness of how unhealthy that is, and it’s implication to the trajectory of your life becomes more realized. We either say fuck that, and stop practicing (capping off the awareness), or we say awwwww hell no!!, I got this, I’ll do whatever it takes, and we practice. Nothing’s ever done ya know? Life will always be churning and giving you situations. It’s infinite. There’s always more. The thing in question is your consciousness, and what is accessible to you from what you’ve done with it. (Slaps face) Consciousness!!! Your “Life” does not matter one bit. This moment matters. Meditation is the way! -

@Daniel107 Great work on the practices. Keep going. This is the ego asking questions before it goes. Trickery and trappery. It likes status quo. All of life’s “bullshit” is symptomatic of personal meaning. Meanings get assigned relative to this physical self and it’s preservation, one layer of veil at a time. How can one enjoy the beauty and richness of this moment - if one is assigning meaning? How can one be present now, tainting it with meanings of the past and future? How can something with unfathomable sophistication, and unlimited opportunity, ask how to be grateful? When you watch a movie, read a book, or play a video game, you get into the experience by the meanings and the story. This life is the same. There’s your meaning and your story - but that’s just how you got into it - it’s a cover story, not the real story - you don’t need them now - you’re here. Now you can let those things go, and see who this You is which is playing this game...and....since when has meaning been a requirement for love? Have a family, start a business. The business will not give you passion and motivation. You’ll give those things to the business and it will be symbiotic. Right now you’re in this place of effort, fear, contradication, frustration.....keep doing the practices, keep letting go, eat clean, exercise if you can...it all leads to being inspired, motivated, non-resistence, non-effort and getting way more accomplished. It’s so good, that it’s currently unbelievable. Embodying the truth will not make immediate relationships troublesome. It will set you free. You’ll be a far better business person and parent in addition to anything else you set your mind to. -

Nahm replied to Monkey-man's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
This is all thinking. Overthinking. Meditation takes a while to get down but this is exacttly what it’s for. It’ll slow things down. The demon is just you beating up on yourself for not doing what you want to for your alignment and health, and doing things you really don’t want to instead. It’s near impossible to have clarity when you’re knee deep in it. Meditation is the way. -
@Monkey-man What do you mean?

Nahm replied to electroBeam's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@electroBeam You are saying that it is, and then asking why it is. It’s mind. It’s you. “Reality” is not consistent, it’s illusion, consistency is appearance. -
@Monkey-man How does your perspective on this directly effect your life?
-
@Monkey-man why?

Nahm replied to Tearos's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Tearos You can’t suffer, there is nothing to effect You. You can dream like a mofo though. In Your dream, Fred can suffer. Fred’s suffering diminishes greatly as Fred embodies You (awakens). It feels really great. When You see You, as someone else (asleep), suffering, You are inspired. You experience You between You and You and it’s love. There is a simple way, not easy, but simple. Suffering is the truth not agreeing with how Fred is choosing to look at a situation. If Fred puts down conditions, if Fred let’s go of the idea of Fred.... For deeper, more serious research consider giving this a read... -

@Shanmugam ❤️ -
@Monkey-man ?? Disclaimer - this whole topic is always ‘slipping through the fingers’. That’s it’s nature. It’s happening now, not before, and not soon. I don’t love the asking questions ‘game’, but this is (almost) like trying to tell someone what they are. It is not directly communicable, at least not with my limits. Imagine two males, each 18 years old. One is black and grows up in the ghetto, has only a mom, she has told him his entire life he is stupid, an unwanted mistake, unlovable, and worthless. The other is white and grows up in a high income suburb. He has both parents, they have always supported him, loved him, told him he can be anything, and encouraged him to learn and pursue his dreams. Being very honest, replying from where you are - not thinking this to death - , which wil be happier, more financially successful, and more conducive to helping others achieve their dreams?

Nahm replied to Shanmugam's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Shanmugam Yo! Interesting. Thanks! I’ll watch em as I can and get back to you. Early human history, if Jesus and Buddha ever existed, enlightenment, etc...brings Quantum Erasure to mind (I’m admittedly juiced up on QM’s today). Have you looked into QE by chance? Will probably be in Leo’s part 2. -
@Monkey-man I spent around 5 years on QM’s and 10 (so far) on loa / relativity. They’re in the consciousness “category”, making them, as topics, reduced to pointers. I’ll take a stab at it if you’re interested. Might be a long convo and might not result in any benefit for you, but I’m willing to try...

Maybe watch some lighter QM’s video’s on YouTube first. The movie What The Bleep is ok as an introductory. I watched the double slit cartoon many many times before I started to see the implication. You might also try out videos on Schrodinger’s cat, quantum erasure, entanglement, and relativity first, for a month or two maybe, then Leo’s video. Looking into (google, YouTube etc) the Many Worlds Theory vs the Copenhagen Theory debate is helpful to loosen up the mind. Just a suggestion. Or try psychedelics and just have a look at it. After that stuff, if you have not heard of them, check out Bruce Lipton (epigenetics) and Gregg Braden (heart centered theory), on a personal level, I just like those guys. As far as being in high school & QM’s, there’s advantage there. Most people twice your age are paradigm locked for the duration. Their mind can not allow QM’s, Nonduality, Self, etc, to be equated to their finger.

@pluto Always loved them both. Great post - Thanks!

@Samra Love your work. This is a great thread. ❤️?

@Paul EMD Not the popular nor pragmatic suggestion, but have you listened to any Abraham Hicks? Ester only speaks to the person / audience, as teachers.

@Leo Gura Unreal work, yet again Leo. Thank you. Great use of Sean C’s position, I had a hunch he’d be referenced, and Bohr has always been my favorite. I remember when I first started to “understand” the QM’s map, in deep meditations and trips Sean would surface like a square peg in a round world, a clue if you will. Can’t wait to watch part 2! I presume the QM’s series naturally leads to a Law of Attraction series. I can’t wait! And if it leads elsewhere, even better!! Annnnddd......you know what question I’ll be asking you again soon, right?

@Stoica Doru No, you’re God. Not a fragment. A veil. It’s the beliefs, the ideas you hold about God. Those are your veils. They are voluntary.

I’m already entangled.

Nahm replied to Pernani's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Pernani https://sites.google.com/site/psychospiritualtools/Home/meditation-practices/self-inquiry Do Nothing Meditation Many respected spiritual traditions, including Buddhism and Hindu Advaita just to name two, claim that the highest state of spiritual communion is actually present in our minds at all times. And yet many meditation techniques focus on creating some special state that wasn't there before the meditation, and which goes away at some point after the meditation. If the highest state is actually present all the time, shouldn't it be possible to simply notice it without inducing some change, or special state? That is exactly the purpose of the Do Nothing Meditation. This technique (which is really an un-technique) will allow you to contact the highest spiritual state without actually doing anything. Each time you notice an intention to control or direct your attention, give it up. 1. There is no need to get into any particular posture, unless you feel like it. 2. Do not position your attention in any particular way. 3. Let whatever happens happen. 4. Any time you notice yourself doing anything intentionally, stop. Doing anything intentionally means something you can voluntarily control, and therefore can stop. If you cannot stop doing something, then it's not intentional, and therefore you don't need to try to stop doing it. So. Anything you can stop doing, stop doing. Some examples of things you can stop doing are: * Intentionally thinking * Trying to focus on something specific * Trying to have equanimity * Trying to keep track of what's going on * Trying to meditate Let go of doing anything like this. 5. Keep doing nothing for at least 10 minutes, or as long as you like. CAUTIONS: It may be difficult for some people to notice any difference between the Do Nothing meditation and gross "monkey mind," that is, the ceaseless, driven and fixated thoughts of the everyday neurotic mind. If this seems to be the case for you, it may be helpful to do a more structured technique -
@lmfao ?? Yeah. Religion’s it’s own little paradigm. It helps so many people while it insulates the overall falsity. One of the deepest ego viruses - it really gets down in there! ? Be nice if the east & west just called it human wisdom, and just start makin a ‘best of man’ wisdom pile. Make the “Juice” of it all.

Nahm replied to Truth Addict's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Truth Addict Amen to that bro. -
@lmfao Write “I am God” on a piece of paper. Then write down everything that comes to mind - likely a list of thoughts to the contrary. Then categorize those into columns of direct experience and not direct experience (belief/idea/thought). Nonduality is a change in what you are, in reality, in all experience from here on out, by a billion degrees. Absolutely completely different in every way. Looking for nonduality in scripture is like looking for eyesight on a poster. It’s very trap-ish. It’s like reading a book, understanding the duality in thinking, and then figuring you’ve got it now. Some people get stuck in scriptures and ancient guru’s, and have no idea they’re stuck. The loss, is nothing was actually real-ized. Nothing was integrated. Same life, different way of looking at it. But the experience of life didn’t actually change at all, other than to be more enjoyable, conceptually. I would drop scripture, do practices everyday, use psychadelics, and see for yourself, DIRECTLY. Listening to a variety of non dual teachers would be more helpful because they are talking to you about you directly, vs stories that you’re supposed to wrap your head around. Leo, Tolle, Spira, Hicks, Mooji - what arises from the greater mix of these would be much more helpful IMO. The Bible, Quran, etc, etc - these are books written by people, about God, to be read by people. Skip em all together. Only direct experience matters. The traps are cunning, many, and deep.
