  1. @kray https://www.dhamma.org/en/index Here is a link for free vipassana retreats around the world. I would save the money and go here when it is possible. 1k is so much that actually you could travel to different country to participate to the retreat and get high quality teaching, free food, free housing and see other country aswell. I would think about this possibility a while. -joNi-
  2. @kray You will be extremely concentrated to whatever you do; hope that this is not problem for your boss . No, but it is possible to have ultimate ego backlash after retreat, but as long as your mind is pretty stable I wouldn't worry about it too much. Also why the retreat would cost 1k? Is it because of distance?
  3. @Arcangelo Did only watch first minute of first video and I am surprised of the "definition" it tries to give. Nihilism just means that nothing matters including that nothing matters. Based on that realization one can live extremely free life without a constant "need" to do everything all the time. (s)he can do only what (s)he wants and that's exactly what life is all about. -joNi-
  4. In relative level it's real and in absolute level there is only this present moment. There must always happen something no matter what it is, because non-experience is impossible, because it would need to be experienced in order to be real and that proves it wrong already. You should question how you can be more present, happy and relaxed, because these are things that matter. -joNi-
  5. @Federico del pueblo Here in this video there is a part which shows what I meant. Time stamp: 0.18 - 0.26 Edit: Almost all people seem pretty cool in that video .
  6. @Federico del pueblo What is cringe is kinda relative, because of course people who don't match together will always think the other one being crazy. That may sound extremely weird, but my opinion is that if that feels cringe to someone it is because people can't loosen up in these situations and join in the play. So actually the "problem" is that people lack social skills and they clinge in acting smart, serious and unaccepting in order to keep their "cool". Funny video tho . -joNi-
  7. @GreenWoods I would say that what you tried to explain is correct in certain sense. It doesn't matter if everything is made out of love if the product is suffering. Pain is love, if you could accept it and that is what love is, acceptance. In the case you don't accept something it becomes suffering and calling suffering as a love is little bit misleading, if you ask me. Although even suffering is made out of love. -joNi-
  8. @ShardMare I kinda used that as a conv- opener, but what I meant was that you should learn mindfulness and be grateful of whatever comes. Only that way you can be truly happy which means that you have accepted life/present moment as it is. From that attitude you can continue your mundane goals, but you don't need anything anymore as a source of happiness, because it comes from inside you, you beautiful . What you are missing is the realization that you are not missing anything. The content will not change; so keep practicing mindfulness and acceptance on daily basis. I would say that the "problem" is that you try to find something beautiful somewhere else, but if you would just open your eyes and see what is front of you, you would find it. You are pretty close to get it, because you already said that everything is good on its own, but next step is to understand that it is good that everything is good on its own. You don't need anything particular more and I would even argue that when you are happy with the less you will be more happy on the long run anyways. With love -joNi- ? ?
  9. Breath more consciously during the day.
  10. @D2sage I make music aswell and actually think that I am pretty good at making melodies so drop me couple links of your songs in pm and I could give some tips. -joNi-
  11. @Ninja_pig You are evolving! Just keep practicing, my friend . Remember that the path includes both up- and downhills and the other comes always after the another one. -joNi-
  12. @thisintegrated Put one hair loop to your hand to remind yourself to love everything and maybe another one to be in the moment.
  13. @Bob Seeker You should do what you want and when you want enough you could call that as a passion. Usually when you have passion towards something you should do it. Remember that there never is "right time" to do anything so, if you feel like that then start today, because if you didn't like it you could anyways come back after a month or even a week. If you think about ego backlash then you could always start of little and increase the intensity during the process.
  14. @MrTouchdown No, I am saying that all you perceive is all there is. There is nothing else than that and you can have an awakening to that and you may ask Leo, if for some reason you wouldn't take my words for it. You are doing radical mistake over here. You assume that I am real having an experience and after that you think that I say that what I experience is all that there is and then you prove that wrong for yourself using your experience. What I am saying is that you are the only conscious being and your experience is all that there is. It works exactly like a dream; there is only that which is dreamed.
  15. @MrTouchdown Because the definition of what exist is what there is NOW and there clearly is nothing else NOW, but what you perceive. Cells in your body doesn't exist unless you think about them or see them visually through some tool.
  16. @MrTouchdown @Shambhu Its important to add one major word to Shambhu's explanation.
  17. @MrTouchdown I will try to say it once again . People may use word "exist" differently, but it is meant to mean what there absolutely is. So what there is means what exists. What there are, are clearly only the "perceptions" which happen right NOW. Your question is so empty that it can't be answered any other way.
  18. @MrTouchdown Existence means nothing else than what there is. It cannot be explained in any other way. Any other explanation someone else gives to you has some assumptions within in it. I understand that the explanation I give sounds too easy to make any sense, but that is, because "reality" is meaningless.
  19. @MrTouchdown I literally explained it in one sentence .
  20. What exists is what is perceived right NOW. -joNi-
  21. @machiavelli Everything is correct that what you said and so called "god pov" is same as what is "your pov" right NOW. Even from "mundane pov" there isn't anything happening on the background.
  22. @machiavelli @_Archangel_ There can be situation in a dream where the main character sees that there would be "other" experiences, but still all that happens inside the dream/present moment/movie. It is right that at the moment you see from "other" perspectives, but that doesn't prove that when you go back to normal human conscious they remain as "background". Actually as I have tried to say many times, only what you ever experience is at the moment whole universe and there isn't anything outside of it regardless how good tricks universe is trying to play with you. -joNi-
  23. @machiavelli This is the most simple thing, because there is only one who is having dreams and (s)he is you. Does "other" people have experience question is little bit misleading, because at some point when you die, you could have a dream of being them, but that doesn't mean they have an experience simultaneously going on. That would even be impossible, because if you are the one who needs to have the dream then you need to see it from first person "pov" and therefore it happening in the "background" doesn't count. Short answer - they don't have experience. -joNi-
